I am a Yahoo newbie who is off to a bad start. What's the deal with Yahoo buyers? <p>I have posted 6 auctions on Yahoo & have problems with 3 of the buyers.
My 1st auction was great no problems & pos. FB.
2nd auction - I informed buyer of the actual shipping cost & buyer refused to pay. In my auction I stated zip code of origin of shipment, weight, & dimensions. I also put an estimated shipping cost of $10-$12. Actual cost was $12.95. I tried many e-mails to the buyer to resovle the problem & gave him a deadline to respon (2 weeks). He did not respond so I left negative FB stating "Buyer refused to pay for item & actual shipping". Buyer then gave me neg. FB stating "auction not as advertised, rip-off". Buyer's statement was complete BS. I over communicate info in auctions to make them :idiot proof". This was buyer's 1st neg. w/ 6 pos. FB. It was my 1st neg. out of 2 auctions on Yahoo (not a good start). I have 100+ pos FB & 0 negs. on ebay.
My fourth auction winning bidder never responded after sending me an e-mail stating money was on its way. I sent numerous e-mails saying money never received but never got a reponse. I did not bother to leave neg.FB for fear of retaliation FB.
My 6th auction (and posibly last on Yahoo), the bidder stated money was on it's way. I replied that after waiting 2 wks. money had not been received. I sent 3 more e-mails (1 per week) stating money still not recvd. & that I would re-list if I didn't hear anything. So far nothing. 2 days left on the deadline.
Anybody else having problems with Yahoo buyers? Never had any problems with Ebay buyers in over 100 transactions. I say BooHoo to Yahoo.

I don't leave negs on Yahoo, because they can retaliate a bunch of times. Not fair to not let other sellers know about the deadbeats, but their feedback is theirs, and mine is mine.
The only good thing about bad bidders on Yahoo is that it doesn't cost you anything but time. I give them two weeks total, then I relist. If their money comes in after that, sometimes I send it back, sometimes I send them the item if it hasn't sold.
As long as they touch base with me when they know they can't pay right away for some reason, it's not too bad.

The same problem is happening over on Ebay as well, apparently in epidemic proportions. I am not sure what the problem is all of the sudden, but there does appear to be an increase in deadbeats everywhere.
Like rhoover said, at least it doesn't cost you money on Yahoo.....

There really is no such thing as a bad buyer at all .
Its deadbeats you are haveing trouble with just be great full they make buyers registered with credit cards to bid or you might have been 6 for 6 on dead beats
I have had weeks like that on yahoo then I have had periods where everything went with out a hitch.

That would work, if all of the deadbeats were a 0 feedback. Some of my deadbeats had feedback in the hundreds, only one of them had a 0.....Send all of your zero's to me! They bid high!!
