Hi! I have done a lot of buying and selling on E-bay, but I just started to use Yahoo. Wouldn't you know it, on it my second time as a buyer I met up with a seller who kept my payment and never shipped the item. I wanted to try giving him a call like they recommend on E-bay, but I couldn't find anywhere on Yahoo where you can request a user's info like you can on E-bay. Is it possible to do this on Yahoo? Thanks for the help!

No, Yahoo!Auctions does not make contact information available for either buyers or sellers. If you paid by check or money order, file a mail fraud complaint; if by credit card, begin a chargeback. E-mail the seller and inform him/her of your intentions. And after a reasonable period of time, leave that all important negative.

Before bidding for anything on either Ebay or Yahoo, a key is to check their ratings. If this seller seems to have a very high rating, for example :90+ rating, check further and see if there are any negatives and read what they are before making a purchase/bid. How long did you wait for shipment? 3 days? a week? a month? when did you contact him about not receiving the item? Did the seller respond to you? How was the item shipped? Was it sent priority mail with delivery confirmation? If so, what is the confirm# so you can track it yourself? or was it sent parcel post, first class mail, UPS etc. Yahoo doesnt provide telephone numbers or other private information but you may be able to handle this yourself. I hope this helps.

rachelee--- Did the seller send you a confirmation? The reason I ask, is I tried (3) times to contact bidder and the email came back undeliverable.. So- thought it was a dead deal.
I went back to my auction listing only to see a link to YahooPaydirect next to the person's name. I did NOT know if this was a courtesy link or the bidder ACTUALLY wanted to use YPD-- Iwrote to Yahoo NO ANS-- so-- I clicked on the YPD link and up came the link for the bidder to charge it to YPD. I filled in the amount and it was ACCEPTED.
Now, I'm still nowhere - due to the fact that there is NO ADDRESS for the bidder-- just the name and City! I think the bidder's email add is especially for the CC and the bidder doesn't know that I do NOT have here add. and CANNOT contact here....
She may very well be saying the same thing as you are saying BUT stupid Yahoo has fixed it that we CANNOT contact each other!
I think I'll have to start a thread on this in case anyone else has the answers??
