I have noticed in one of the categories I sell in, my items are not all listed together. Some were on the second page of nonfeatured (which is a miracle because my sell-thru rate sucks!) and others were on other pages. Has anyone else noticed this? Melanie

Ouch! But so true. I also wrote Yahoo about it and got the same response others have gotten. I have also tried featuring without much luck. This is the reason why I cut my Amazon listings down. Please Yahoo learn from Amazon's mistake!

I think I was plowing thru the pages the other day and found my featureds on second, third pages. I figured it was because I didn't spend very much to do so. However, I can not complain and am doing well. I have built up a lot of feedback but from unique users and I hope they count that.
Probably not.
I'm confused. Nothing new on that front either.

I'm finding Yahoo!Auctions to be little more than a wasteland these days. From what I gather, they want "quality" and if someone's auctions aren't getting any bids, then they must be items of no "quality".
Right?
WRONG!!!!!
I had over 100 hundred items listed on Yahoo!Auctions for about two months, no sales.
Moved them over to eBAY during GoTo.com's recent free listing day. And that resulted in the sale of nearly half the items, including bidding wars on several items.
The problem with Yahoo!Auctions is *NOT* low quality items, its (i) the chaotic mess that characterize the listings and (ii) an inability to attract "quality" buyers.
(I will provide a full report with the stats on my Yahoo!Auctions - eBay comparison when I get some free time this weekend.)

Yahoo is the most disoriented of oriented auctions. They are half full and the other
half is confused and lacking leadership.
The worst category setup for such a large auction site

Yahoo! is somehow benefitting from the scrambled eggs listings, they have to be. Because there is no logical reason for it, to the average long time seller. They obviously do not care what it is doing to all of their established sellers who helped to build Yahoo!.
Yahoo! Auctions is on the slide to non-existence, which is coming sometime in the new year. Unless, they actually start listening to complaints about problems they are causing their sellers. And no, charging fees will not accomplish squat.
I signed on to their "Newsletter", and guess what, (actually no guess needed), they still keep making changes with no advance notice? This so-called "Newsletter" is supposed to keep you informed of pending changes. Yeah, right.

CharlieOne - heard the same thing about eBay - but they are still up and feeling just fine.
Personally, I have never checked where my items are in the search listing - I am sure from all I hear it is the pits, but as long as our sales are strong - I'm not going to take the time to review a situation which I have no control over.
