Yahoo has seldom spent to promote their auctions but ...
I heard an ad on the radio for yahoo auctions today!
It featured two old ladies fighting over bidding on a quilt from the 1890s. I don't think it was a very good ad but anything is somewhat encouraging.
Now if only they would realize that abandoning their insane listing order would do more to improve the site than a small fortune on advertising.

Did the radio spot mention that Yahoo!Auctions is largely a no-bid wasteland characterized by random listings that preclude browsing a category?

I agree with dimview, and so list and sell in a shape and form that considers the natural lay of land, and it works.

Could be the start of something big.
I remember well on AM station Ebay advertised in the begining....
So maybe Yahoo will go farther too...
But heck everybody knows who they are.
And they have been inventive in getting out there...
The Taxi cabs, and I loved the big bill board in Inspector Gadget that he ran into? that said YAHOO.....
Just need to hang in there it will happen, and I'm ready when it does.
