Just thought I would post something for those who may come here looking for a bit of inspiration among all of the " Scam, fraud, PayPal is out to get me, Yahoo sucks, Yahoo is a dead wasteland" griping on here. My sales have been excellent on Yahoo even prior to the Christmas rush and my deadbeat rate has been nearly nil. Yes, jumbled listings aggervate me to no end as well but I have not personally seen a slump in sales since this change was made. As for CC verification, this has to have something to do with my rapidly declinig deadbeat rate.

Above all I would like to add hope and inspiration for newcomers here who are just now getting their feet wet with online auctions, particularly Yahoo. Thank you for hearing me........

I'm having the same results! Ever since they required a CC to bid my deadbeats have vanished.

eBay is the deadbeat hangout now. While Yahoo deadbeats are gone the ones on eBay have skyrocketed to around 50%

Don't kid yourselves---the deadbeats are still bidding on Yahoo. You've just been lucky.

my yahoo deadbeat count has significantly decreased, but has not altogether vanished. I do agree that Ebay's deadbeats are out in force.

anyway mandalore- *another positive energy zap*- I sold pretty much everything I listed on Yahoo last week, although I had to feature the heck out of it to do so!

Yahoo is good; Santa is good; the Grinch is good; deadbeat bidders don't really mean to be that way; Gore and Bush are good; both the Supreme courts are good; Florida voters are all every smart, and know how to punch ballots properly; I love the Ryder truck and any fallin' chads inside, or on the highway; and the lawyers really do care about all of us.

I am really trying hard to be good, positive, and optimistic. Now, do my listings get any more views or bids Santa?

CAgrrl, alot of my sales have came from featuring as well. 1st bid wins has been the bulk of my sales I have noticed since Thanksgiving. I cannot complain about the featuring cost because items that normally sit forever with a few hits sell in one week with a few hundred page views. Not too shabby for .70 cents a week! BEATS FEEBAY!!! Also I have had instances when one featured auction makes the "Hot Auction" and gets my other auctions above average traffic, increasing sales. I really cannot complain about featuring at all, it has helped me tremendously.
