The vendio gallery is not showing all the information - i.e. when the item is ending, bid price etc...
I am also noticing that when you insert vendio into my auctions, it will show the proper category (the following auction is an example 7356726732 which is showing relevant items in the Porcelain/China categories in Vendio.
In other words, I get some very general, items finishing first on my insertions, but on yours, they are more category specific promotions (porcelain and glass in the above example compared to some books in All Categories in all the other auctions I have inserted vendio into i.e. 7360576033
I want to be able to enter my html in and have the gallery show the most relevant items as when you insert something (example above), with a better category selection than I am currently getting which is defaulting to "All Categories" which is hindering cross promotion rather than helping it.
The gallery takes up to two hours to update with bid price and ending information.
When the gallery is automatically inserted, and either the 'Marquee' or 'Basic' skin is selected, the gallery will detect the category of the item being viewed, and will display other items that you have for sale in the same (or closest-to-similar) category. Sometimes, it cannot do that, so it will display All Categories.

Hello Mark,
While it is true that the manually inserted gallery HTML code is setup to sort based on 'All categories' there is a possible workaround for you.
When the system does it automatically it can note the current category of the item it is being added to and take that into account.
Instead of taking the generic HTML code from the gallery preferences to use in your listings manually, steal the HTML code for the Vendio gallery from one of your existing auctions from the same category and make note of the code.
Embedded into the HTML code for the gallery in the automatically inserted listings, there are two points where it will reference an eBay category number. (cat=2387498234)
If you change both of these numbers to the category number your placing the gallery into manually, you can essentially force it to work the same as the ones that we insert automatically.

Thank you for this workaround. If an auction is imported from ebay after launch and after the gallery has been inserted, does the code for the gallery then become accessible in the Vendio description edit window if the auction is copied and edited? That would make it easy to move the "inserted" category-specific gallery code from the insertion area of the description to a more preferred area without having to wade through all the ebay and Vendio template code on ebay.
If a version of each with the different category number edits you mention were saved as inventory items in SMIE, couldn't that function as a layout template copied over and over for subsequent items?
I've noticed that with galleries inserted by sellers not using Vendio for their listing process, there is frequently a spacer image hosted/contributed by Vendio at the very top that is not generated in the code we pull up here to insert. Would that be important to include if we are pasting in our own code? It is hard to tell exactly what the spacer image does.
