Hi, I signed up and let VENDIO revise my listings and add the Gallery. Then when I looked at the listings I wanted it at the beginning of the listings descrption, so I revised some of them and deleted what you guys put in there and pasted the code at the front of my listing. Thinking all would be good, right! Wrong... I have goofed up somewhere? The only ones showing the Gallery correct is the ones Vendio put in orginally. The ones I have pasted in there have the place for it but it's like nothings there. I have changed my preference where I past the code in my control panel. I think I did that right.

Help?

Will this (PASTE THE CODE)only work on new auctions???

Hi Transparts,

Provided you did not alter the code and you didn't delete anything necessary from the code that shows when you revise, the gallery should appear. What is the item ID? I will take a look and see if I can fix the problem for you.

Check out a few item numbers if you can.

These are ones that are trouble. First number one I revised. Second one was a new listing I tried with no listing designer.

Last this number is one I didn't modify but works I just want the Gallery at the top.

Sonya,

I have tried it again, no dice!

I can't insert the code manually and have it work.

I want to list more auctions but not sure if I should wait or not! If I am going to keep VENDIO I would want it to work. Seems like a good idea if it works but not worth the trouble if this is going to be this hard to deal with all the time.

Please let me know what you think and if you have had a chance to look at things.

Hello transparts,

Sorry for the confusion. The problem that you are running into is that the manually generated HTML code that you got from your gallery preferences page is setup specifically for eBay.com and not ebay Motors. You dont see any items listed in that one as you have no eBay.com auctions running, only Motors.

There is a fix for it, but it will require you to make two changes to the code that you paste into your ads when doing it manually.

The two strings you want to change look like this (they are the same, one appears just below the other):

"https://imagehost.vendio.com/my/gallery/marquee.swf?vName=transparts&SId=1&bbkg=0xbdce
e7&sbkg=0xfdfae0&scbkg=0xf5f5f5&ctxt=0x000000&clink=0x003399&cat=0"

You will want to change it to this instead:

"https://imagehost.vendio.com/my/gallery/marquee.swf?vName=transparts&SId=87&bbkg=0xbdce
e7&sbkg=0xfdfae0&scbkg=0xf5f5f5&ctxt=0x000000&clink=0x003399&cat=0"

Note that the change is the 'SId=1' part changing to 'SId=87.'

I went to ebay and revised my listing changing it to Sld=87 and it still will not work. Should I try a new listing with this new code?,

Seems like it didn't make a difference.

I am not sure what to try.

Thanks... somehow I figured out why it wasn't saving my revision...

The 87 was the trick.
