I signup up for gallery 5 days ago. I have set everything and saved my ebay token. Everything seems to be setup correct, however gallery was not inserted into my auctions. I have since edited my ebay user/pass 2 times jsut to confirm it was correct however still no gallery.

When I inserted the gallery manually no images loaded. So I am not to sure of the problem. Could someone look into it and offer me a solution.

Hello,

I checked your eBay ID and notice you list on eBay Canada -- unfortunately, at this time the Gallery is not compatible with any of the eBay international sites, however, we do plan to release support for English speaking internation sites shortly. Please check our announcements frequently as we will announce when this becomes available.

If you signed up for a Gallery and you are listing on an International site, you should go ahead and cancel the Gallery. To do this, go to My Account -> My Service Plans. Click the "view other plans" link in the Gallery section. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "discontinue your Gallery plan." You may request a refund for the Gallery fees by using this process:

1. Go to My Account -> Online Statement. Locate the line item for the charge, and highlight and copy the Ref ID number.

2. Open a separate browser window. Paste the below URL into the browser's address bar. Note that this URL can be found on our site by clicking the "Got questions about this statement?" link on your statement, and scrolling to the "Does Vendio provide refunds?" section.

https://secure.vendio.com/my/acct/request_refund.html

Paste the Ref ID from your statement into the form, and proceed to submit your refund request. We will be handling refunds on a case-by-case basis, so please be as clear and concise in detailing the problem as possible.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Regards,

Sonya

I signed up about 8 hours ago and still nothing. I have tried manually and nothing happens. I only list in eBay and eBay Motors US sites so the international thing is not the problem. I have about 85 listing right now and none are showing the gallery. Any suggestions??

Thanks

Hey,
I noticed we had a problem importing your eBay ID. I think you can solved this with the following:

Log in at Vendio.com; click the my account link; click the Auction Site Accounts link; click the edit link next to the eBay ID (on the right of the screen); click the Goto eBay Signin button.
Continue with the sign in processs.

This should retrigger your eBay ID at Vendio. Right now there seems to be a problem with us getting confirmation of it.
Best Regards,

DarinCS

Is there something I am missing about this gallery? I have tried inserting manually and a few items show up in the gallery, I have one listing that only shows 1 item in the gallery. I have one question, Does this gallery categorize by your store categories or by eBay categories? And another thing why wont this thing work right?

Hello,

The gallery tries to match up with your category that the listing is in. If it can make a match it will automatically display items that are in a matchable category but if you click on 'All Categories' you should be able to see everything.

Can you explain what you mean by 'work right' -- are you having other issues with the gallery?

Sonya

I have set it to insert automatically and it doesnt seem to pull my items. I have set it to insert manually and still have the same problem. This item seems to be working ok and it was inserted automatically. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&tc=photo&item=7921017523&category=33653
This item only has one photo in the gallery and is just sliding through with the same picture.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&tc=photo&item=7970087963&category=33643
So basically what do I have to do to get it to work right? Has it something to do with HTML that I have put in the description or what?? I am looking forward to this working right because I do believe it will help with lowering listing fees and increase sales.

Hello,

As long as the HTML you are currently putting in your items is all correctly closed and contains all the right tags, it should not affect the gallery. Changes you make do not apply to currently active items -- you will want to remember this as you switch options for placement. My advice is to pick an option you like for gallery placement (people like top so their customers can see the gallery before the item) and use an image combination of eBay gallery-eBay header-1st listing image.

Regarding this item:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&tc=photo&item=7970087963&category=33643

It's a motors item, and motors items are separated into their own gallery (meaning there is a slight code tweak for Motors galleries -- this is why only a knife is showing in your Motors item). For you I would recommend using the options I mentioned above as you won't have to do any code tweaking -- we will be able to tell if it's a Motors gallery or a regular eBay gallery and insert the appropriate code.

Sonya

I set the Gallery settings to "Do not automatically insert. I'll insert myself" and generated the html code and pasted it into a new listing. The listing was for an ebay motors item but the picture that is showing in the gallery is from Collectibles of regular eBay. It seems to me that if you have a setting for the user to generate code and paste it into HTML then it would work with either side of eBay. What I mean is if I paste the code into a ebay Motors listing then it would pull my items from the motors side. This is not happening on any of my new listings.

What is the motors tweak you speak of?? Can it be done on our end? Am I not holding the keyboard correctly? Do I need to jump down turn around and pick a bail of cotton for this thing to start working? I have 85 listings right now and have less than 2 that the gallery is working in. It has been 3 days and I still dont see a light at the end of this tunnel.. Somebody help..

Oh if there is seperate code for motors items and regular ebay items then send me both sets of code and I will be a happy camper.

Got it.. You are correct Sonya, the ebay motors and regular ebay are different. If you generate the code in the gallery settings it will be for the regular ebay code.

Suggestion;
In the gallery settings there should be 2 options to generate code, eBay option and eBay motors option.

Thanks all

Hi Pctire,

I will log this suggestion for you. If you need the code specific to Motors, please let me know.
