I am a new german user and I am not totally sure I have done everything right. I have signed in to ebay to get an authorization token and I set up my gallery but I do not see any gallery in my listings. Did the gallery import automaticly into running or launched listings and work with them?
Many many thanx for your help...

Hello,

It looks like your settings in Vendio are correct. I did also look at your auctions though and they have all been edited. Often, if the gallery is not showing up and the item is edited, the person has edited the description and either removed or broken the Vendio Gallery code accidentally. Could you try it without editing your item? Or, let me know what you are editing and any ideas you might have.

Best,
Abe

Hello,
there is nothing changed. I taked a look to my auctions an I looked also at the code, but I did not see any gallery-code. I tryed to put the gallery-code manualy to my auctions-code and I recived a message from eBay. Scripts are not allowed.
And now?

Hello,

I have escalated this to our engineering team for a second look, and will be in touch with you when we have more updates on the situation.

Hello. I am new back to Vendio after nearly a year and I am thinking of signing up for the gallery. As I recall scripts were a problem back then also--there was something about the code segments containing Javascript going through okay when Vendio submitted it, but when I tried to edit things directly at ebay it was rejected with an error message saying that ebay did not permit Javascript.

I mention that because a seller on ebay uses a listing design I would like to try: They have created their listing through ebay's listing tools, and their template design follows their ebay store banner. Their image layout is the equivalent of Vendio's centered and all stacked on top. I notice from the code that the first pic is hosted through ebay and rolls in right under the template design header with no title section (I would prefer keeping the title section). Then they host the last 2 subsequent pics below their Vendio gallery with another image hosting service (neither ebay or Vendio). All that precedes their text sections and it looks great.

Given that information, 2 questions:
1)Can a similar effect now be attained in a Vendio-generated template by pasting in the gallery code at Vendio before the item launches (without having to use an entirely embedded layout to control all the images and the gallery)? I don't remember Vendio ever giving us access to the code that included the Vendio image layout areas.

2) If it can't be done here before launch, when I go to paste in my gallery code between the Vendio images at ebay for each item after launch, does anyone know for sure ebay will accept it since the listing was not created with thier tools?

Thanks!
PS. Glad to be back. SMiE is awesome!!!

-- Do you by any chance have this listing saved anywhere, so we can take a look at it? I am having a little trouble understanding what look you are after. We provide you the Gallery code if you want it, so you can place it anywhere in your listings. You could probably do something like, put the code in your default text (this would place the gallery at the end of your item description, which I understand you don't want, based on what the other user has).

"2) If it can't be done here before launch, when I go to paste in my gallery code between the Vendio images at ebay for each item after launch, does anyone know for sure ebay will accept it since the listing was not created with thier tools?"
-- eBay will accept the code. The issue described in this thread is limited to eBay Germany items only so it wouldn't affect you (unless you begin to sell on eBay Germany -- we are working on this issue right now and hope to have it resolved soon).

Glad to see you back, and that you like SMIE!

Hi Sonya. Thanks for the info. and the welcome back. I haven't been anywhere else--I just stopped doing auctions and sat it out until Vendio introduced the new programs we kept hearing about. It was worth the wait!

Sorry the description of the listing layout was complicated. Glad the code acceptance at ebay is an ebay Germany issue only. To honor the privacy of the seller whose ad I am admiring, I'll email the ebay item number through customer service and you can take a look and email me back or post on the board, either one. The question about access to the code areas editable in Vendio before launch with a Vendio "All Images Stacked On Top" image layout becomes more obvious when you see where this seller has placed their gallery.

Thanks again!

Now it works!!!
In germany you must be an ebay-member with spezial status, called "geprueftes Mitglied". It means, you have to verify your contact dates like name, address, phone, mail and so on. You have to do this by using "Post-Ident". If all dates are correct, you became the status "fully certificated member".

Now I hope, the gallery sets automaticly into my listings.

All the best, KallesGarage...
