Hello. I am a previous user of SMME just starting with SMIE. With no scheduled, active, or pending auctions in my account, I copied a test auction inventory item to my Prelaunch Inventory folder and set what I thought was to be a scheduled launch for tonight by attaching the profile for that. Everything seemed to work fine. The item appeared correctly in my pending listings with the appropriate quantity and launch time and profile and there were no Active Auctions.
After exiting Vendio and returning, I now have this same listing in my Active auctions already live on ebay (#6275477055). The one I scheduled by profile to launch for 7 pm tonight is still correct in Pending. I only programmed in one of this fake item in quantity and listing. I did not manually set the time as an in-line edit at launch, just attached the profile for scheduling and clicked launch which bumped it correctly to pending.
Before this scheduling, I tried one of these and ended up with two scheduled launches--one manual and one auto-- both scheduled for the same time tonight. I got that because I attached both the profile and in-line edited/set the time by mistake. I deleted the manual listing. I also deleted the copied inventory item and the scheduled listing disappeared from my pending listings. I started over and created a new copied item (in my Prelaunch Inventory folder) and reset the launch only by profile. I did not launch anything without a profile attached.
I need to figure out where the additional immediate launch came from. Any ideas? Initially all of my items will be one of a kind pre scheduled items and I need to avoid multiple launches. Thanks!!!

The launch time for the scheduled auction was a little over 5 minutes ago. There are no longer any pending auctions in my list but there is not an additional Active auction either in my Vendio list or at ebay and there are no errors. Back in my SMME days, whenever an auction went from pending to launched it showed as pending and then transferred to Active.
Can someone there help me with why I got an extra auction I didn't launch and what happened to my scheduled auction that so far looks like it has disappeared rather than launch? Thanks.

Hey, I posted this early yesterday afternoon. There was no response for many hours until the settings I referred to were no longer in my account to completely reference for a solution. Since then no response either.
I think my scheduled auction may have disappeared because the program read the quantity of 1 and recognized there was already one on the market so didn't launch. But that does not explain why there was an immediate launch at time of scheduling in addition to the correctly scheduled one for a quantity-1 listing-1 auction.
Is someone reading this who can help me by looking at my account, or do I need to post on another board?

Good morning,
If you click into your inventory and then click the number under the "At Market" column, you will open the item history. It appears that you manually launched an item inadvertently so the scheduled launch was cancelled because there were no inventory items available.
I guess I'm not sure why the manual launch occurred. Do you remember the exact steps you took when you attached the profile?

Hi. Thanks so much for looking at this. I was hoping someone would check this last night when I had both the active and pending launch visible in my account.
Yes I do remember:
The first time around about an hour or 2 earlier I made the mistake of attaching both a profile and setting the time and date (both scheduled in advance). Both an auto and a manual showed up in pending. I cancelled the manual and then deleted the inventory item they were based on and started over.
I set all the profiles for single items fixed quantity fixed scheduling the way they are in my account now, copied one copy of my test auction inventory item into the Prelaunch Inventory folder to work on it there (the one item there is this item), edited the features of the listing for this particular test, specifically avoided manually setting or touching the date or time on the launch page, and as the last thing went to the auto tab and attached the correct profile, and clicked launch. The item flipped immediately into pending with the correct quantity of 1 and correct scheduling time. The immediate launch was a total surprise without warning at the time of submission. Can you tell if my profiles and those steps should have resulted in only one item launch scheduled for 7PM that night?
Since I won't have more than one of many of my items it is really important I don't make mistakes that cause an extra unscheduled launch. If I get extra launches I won't have the items, and if I get unscheduled launches at another time I miss my target market. Can you look at my profiles and see if I have set them up correctly for that? I have read the FAQs and the tutorial and it seems like it should have worked.
Thanks again.

Hello. Can anyone there help me with this please?-- All that has happened is that I have been asked by Diana for information that I had already provided. I can't launch if there are extra immediate launches I don't program in with no warnings or confirmation screens given. If I did something wrong or have a wrong profile setting I need to know how to fix it. If Diana is too busy, could someone else please look?
Your profile for your test auction does appear to be set correctly. It is set to be a fixed schedule profile, and to list one auction every Thursday at 7pm. I am showing that there is a pending listing for this inventory item scheduled for this Thursday at 7pm. However, please note that this listing will not launch as your inventory quantity for this item is currently at zero.
If you had attached the correct profile and clicked launch, then you would get an immediate manual listing and a scheduled listing. The immediate listing would have resulted from clicking launch. The scheduled listing would have resulted from attaching the profile.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

Thank you very much. That is exactly what I did--attach the profile and click launch. I thought I needed to click "launch" to launch the attached profile. So sorry.
I'm having one other minor problem. When do the global defaults like site specifics become attached to the listing? I've done a couple manually scheduled launches tonight that went fine, but I notice that my custom note in the ebay site specifics payment instructions is not current. I thought this was one of the things that was assembled based on the global defaults in place at the time of scheduling of the launch. I created the items off inventory item copies I created with the old preference, but changed and saved the text in site specifics before editing and scheduling the copies. Do I need to delete all my inventory and create new items to get the new text I have in my ebay site specifics now for future launches?
The 'eBay site specific' details are used as a template when you create a listing from scratch.
Once saved, you can change your default settings without it effecting your existing data.
If you want to change a note that you have saved in your 'eBay site specifics' - you will need to edit the item where those details appear, as updating your default options for those fields will not effect your existing data.
The 'custom listing text' found via the My Account page is the one where you can store some text that isn't applied until the item is launched, and that once updated would be picked up by your existing inventory.
