Since we switched to inventory edition we have noticed that we are receiving a BIN charge on eBay for some auction listings.

We do not list BIN or Fixed Price on eBay auctions but some items are listing as BIN on eBay auction. About 3 or 4 items every day go to eBay as BIN but on Vendio we do not show the items as FP.

Item #'s listed yesterday BIN on eBay but does not show FP on Vendio.

6884615046
8423619694
8423619841
8423619847

If you open these active listings you will see they have a FP but do not show this way on Vendio and were not scheduled this way by us. This has happened every day since we started using Inventory Edition.

What are we doing wrong and how can we correct it?

I have already contacted eBay and they say it is on Vendios end. Please help me correct.

I need to send more items to feeBay but do not want more fee for the Bay than i already have

Hello,

There does appear to be a BIN Price listed for these items in inventory at this time. Perhaps there was an issue at the time the items were imported that assigned a BIN cost at random to them?

Does the BIN price appear to be a price that you would set for these items in another venue, perhaps as the eBay storefront price?

Christopher

These same items are sent to our eBay store at FP.

But we relist what has already come off auction and schedule our auctions for every evening. We slip up on one or two, thats understandable.

Since we moved to Inventory edition there has been 4 or 5 auctions every night hitting eBay with a BIN. In our active listings, none of these show FP.

There does not seem to be a reason on our part in the way we list and have listed, for these to go to eBay as a BIN on auction.

We only noticed this because of a jump in our fees on eBay. This is not our fault and i do not see anything that we can do to fix this but it is happening every evening.

Hello,

While we check into this issue further, you can help avoid it by editing these items and deleting the Buy It Now price that is listed in the 'site specifics' tab.

The problem is in how these items got assigned a BIN price when you mentioned there was none there prior to import. Now that they are imported, these items DO have a BIN price and will continue to post with a BIN price when you submit them to auction.

On the items where you see the little bar code icon beside them, in addition to the gavel icon and the red store icon, those are setup as fixed price listings and you will want to edit them to remove the BIN price prior to submitting.

Christopher

We go through every listing every day for the auctions we list that day. We schedule 11 or 12 listings for every evening.

We remove the BIN price every day for our auctions and can clearly see that it is an auction listing scheduled foe every evening.

These items are not showing FP in our active listings, but when you open the listing it shows a BIN on eBay. And we are getting charged for this.

We check to see that we are not sending anything with a BIN or FP to feeBay in our auctions every day. You have a glitch that is causing us to receive fees from feeBay that we are not responsible for and we do not want any BIN or FP listings on auction. These same items are in our feeBay store at FP.

This is your glitch not our fault in how we are listing. This started as soon as we switched to Inventory Edition.

Here is the latest list of BIN listings listed to auction last night. We did not send any BIN or FP items to feeBay Auction and these do not show FP in our active listings on Vendio.

You need to go to our pending listings and look to see for yourselves that the listings scheduled for this evening are auction only.

I will send a list of item numbers that get a BIN on eBay when they list. These items will not have a FP showing in our active listings in Vendio, but will have a BIN on feeBay.

These items in our pending listings do have the auction hammer but do not have the fixed price bar code our the store red tag. I'm glad you stayed with the red tag instead of that outhouse door feeBay uses.

feeBay is charging us for this

is this how everyone is going to fill express?

Hello,

On the items we checked yesterday the BIN Price was there in the site specifics page, which is why they posted that way.

Note that the 'FP' icon only shows for Fixed Price listings, not auction items that happen to offer a Buy It Now price.

(aka, only your actual fixed price listings and eBay store listings are 'FP')

I will take a look at the items you have queued up for tonight and post back when more information is available.

Christopher

Hello,

Ok, I checked out all of the 24 items queued up to list tonight and did find a handful that are currently setup with a Buy It Now price and unless edited prior to their scheduled listing time - they will list with this BIN price currently in place.

The above item was the first I found, and I did correct this one for you as I knew from the previous examples that this was one of the items you didnt want to list with a BIN price.

The next 4 items are still setup this way in your account, so you will want to edit these items prior to their scheduled time to list this evening to remove the BIN price.

Christopher

We see where you are talking about now. And we are editing all of our listings to fix this.

We did not setup these site specifics, and had no idea that this was going to happen. These specifics were automatically set for us when we switched over to Inventory Edition.

We will correct this but feeBay has charged us for this and we had no idea what was going on. We did not set these site specifics to list this way.

Are we expected to eat these fees?

It also looks like you have more problems than these settings being auto set.

All of our listings were set this way and only 4 or 5 out of 11 or 12 of our listings were getting the BIN in the feeBay auction listing.

Hello oddsend03,

I am sorry that this happened, but our system is not configured to set up a BIN price automatically. This is something that would obviously be counter productive both for us and for our customers, not to mention that we would have no way to know what BIN price to enter, even if it were an option. I don't know exactly how it happened but I suspect that when you switched to SMIE there was a BIN price entered in your SMME inventory items.

Thanks,

Diana

We set BIN to go into our eBay store. We did not set any site specifics. You guys are confusing your own advise.

The site specifics were set this way after importing items to inventory edition.

We did not set any site specifics till we were told where to find them and we undid all eBay site specific for eBay BIN.

You guys work well with eBay.

Its worth a few nickels to figure out all that inventory edition can do.

But you need to look at what is happening to existing listings during transfer. Something is causing items specifics to set for eBay. Whether it is items with a BIN or something else prior to transfer.

We are no different than many others who keep a quantity in our eBay store and some on auction.

It is nice to know that that feature is there but we do not need two different ways to send items to eBay with or without a BIN. The manual way is better for us as we send items to auction and to our eBay store.

Thank you for helping us find where to turn off these eBay site specifics for BIN and FP. Not sure why you could not tell us about this on the phone when we set up a call. Instead of saying you did not know why this was happening and your engineers were looking at it, and this was reported by someone else that same morning. And you don't know weather it is on eBay's end or your end. eBay saying it is on your end, and what is really funny is that eBay called it right the first time, and we did not know what they were talking about "site specifics".

Don't get me wrong, we do really like inventory edition and it features. You have a wrinkle to work out before it happens to someone else, and there would not be a problem if you were upfront and helped us with this on first contact, the bin could only be coming from two places, and we did not setup any site specifics. And we are not saying any individual did this. The specifics were set during import for what ever reason, which is what you should want to figure out.
