OK I am having alot of problems with my launches as of recently. I changed alot of my auctions from fixed quanity to scheduled quantity and now they dont launch at all. Can someone please check my profiles to see everything is set up ok? You can do a search for a listing with the words "1GB COMPACT FLASH DRIVE". This among others have not been launching and I want to know why. Someone please get back to me. Thanks.
I see that you have successfully set this profile to launch one listing every day at 5:30pm, unless there is already another auction currently on the market.
Since the item you mentioned was created yesterday after 5:30pm (at 5:50pm), this profile has not yet had a chance to launch one of these items. You should expect this item to launch today at about 5:30pm.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if you continue to have trouble with this.

I tried to manually launch some items and it still doesnt work. I keep getting the error "Error 240: The item cannot be listed or modified. The item cannot be listed or modified. The title and/or description may contain improper words, or the listing or seller may be in violation of eBay policy."
There are quite a few reasons why you would receive an error 240. I was able to locate at least one of these in your listings. You have cash listed as a payment method. Unfortunately, cash has been banned as a payment method by eBay. Please remove this information from your listings.
Please see the following reasons why you might receive an error 240:
1. eBay has updated the password you have on file with them or has placed a block on your account. To resolve this, you will need to log on to eBay and take the following steps:
- Click on the "site map" link at the top of the eBay page.
- Scroll through the "Services" section (top of middle column.)
- Click on the "I forgot my password" link (located in the middle column.)
After entering your eBay ID on this page, bypass the "secret question" and click the "send me password instructions" link near the bottom of the page. An email will then be sent to you from eBay with instructions on completing the password change.
Once you have successfully changed your password at eBay, you will need to update the password on our site. To do this, follow these steps:
- Go to My Account -> Auction Site Accounts. Click the "edit" link next to your eBay ID.
- Enter your new password.
- Save the changes.
If this doesn't help, please contact eBay to make sure that there is not a block on your account.
Note that if you update your eBay token on our website and you still receive error 240, you may need to change the password on eBay, then go through the process of updating the information on our website again.
2. You may be offering a payment method that is banned (such as Greenzap, e-gold, StormPay, auctionchex, Western Union, cash, etc.) in the eBay marketplace.
In this case you will need to revise your listing by removing the banned payment method. This includes any text reference to the payment method, so please be sure to check your payment options under My Account -> Global Preferences, as well as the Custom Payment Note and/or other custom text fields in your preferences.

3. You are attempting to list an item in a Travel category on eBay before registering for SquareTrade (note that you must be a SquareTrade member before listing to these categories.)
- For more information, and to register for SquareTrade, use this URL:
4. You are attempting to list an item in a Healthcare category that may not meet eBay requirements. For more information on this, please refer to this URL:
You may be able to eliminate the errors by inserting the following text into your listing when listing medical devices:
"The sale of this item may be subject to regulation by the U.S. Food and
Drug Administration and state and local regulatory agencies. If so, do not
bid on this item unless you are an authorized purchaser. If the item is
subject to FDA regulation, I will verify your status as an authorized
purchaser of this item before shipping of the item."
5. You are attempting to list an item in an Wine or Alcohol category. eBay has specific rules and regulations that must be met before listing in these categories. For more information on this, please refer to this URL:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/alcohol.html
If your item is not Wine or Alcohol, please select a different category for it.
6. You are attempting to list an Adult item with Paypal selected as a payment option, which is no longer allowed by eBay. If this is the case, you will need to revise your item and remove Paypal from the list of payment options.
Note also, you must remove any text reference to Paypal from your description and default text. The word "Paypal" in your listing text will cause your listing to fail.
7. You are attempting to list an Adult item and you do not have a credit card on file at eBay. If you do not have a credit card on file, you are required to be ID verified to list Adult items. Please refer to this URL for more information on Adult restrictions:
8. You are attempting to list another type of item that may have restrictions. For a list of eBay restricted and prohibited items, please reference this URL:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/items-ov.html
9. You are flagging your item as an 'Easy To Buy' item, but you have not specified the listing format to be fixed-price. 'Easy To Buy' items must be fixed-price, and other restrictions may apply. Please change the format of your listings to be fixed-price, or remove the 'Easy To Buy' code/reference from your listing descriptions.
10. The spending limit on your eBay account has been exceeded. To determine if this is the case, please go directly to eBay and launch a new test listing. eBay will notify you when you attempt to submit the listing if the problem is related to this.
11. Your listing may violate eBay's Inappropriate Links policy. Per eBay, sellers may not link to sites that encourage buyers to place their eBay bids through a site other than eBay. For more information on eBay's Links and Credits guidelines, please go to the following URL:

Its weird. Some of my items are launching but others are not. For instance "ELECTRIC GUITAR SAMPLES FOR REASON" launched just fine but "96MB RAM MEMORY UPGRADE" did not. I am having problems launching with profiles "FQ-1" and "NEW SQ-1". Any ideas?

I am still getting error "Error 240: The item cannot be listed or modified.
The item cannot be listed or modified. The title and/or description may contain improper words, or the listing or seller may be in violation of eBay policy." HELP ME! This is costing me money!
Have you removed Cash as a payment option from the description of your listings? Your listings will fail sometimes, but not always, because eBay's automatic filtering system does not always catch every instance when a banned payment option is mentioned in a listing. However, it is still a payment option that is banned by eBay.
If you have removed Cash as a payment option from one of your listings, and it is still failing due to error 240, please provide the name of the inventory item so that I can take a look.

As clearly stated above... "ELECTRIC GUITAR SAMPLES FOR REASON" launched just fine but "96MB RAM MEMORY UPGRADE" did not. Neither of them have cash as a payment option. "4GB HARD DRIVE UPGRADE ROLAND VS 880 890 1680 1880" does not have cash either and it has been weeks since I have been able to get this one to launch.
I looked at all of my inventory and did not see cash as a payment option for any of them.
Here is just a small amount of the listings that are failing. Please look into this because this is potentially costing me hundreds if not thousands of dollars. If you need more just check my error log and you will see hundreds of auctions that havent listed and most of them due to error 240.

I noticed you are responding to other messages on this board but not mine. Should I just take my business elsewhere? I pay you guys nearly $400 a month on this account alone. I have two accounts with you and this is the service that I get? Someone please resolve my issue so I can get on with my life and with my business.
Go to "My Account" --> "Global Preferences" --> scroll down to "Payment Types" --> "Custom Payment Note". Your custom payment note (included in all of your listings) is as follows:
<p align="left"><b><font face="Verdana" size="2">SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY! IF YOU DO
NOT INTEND TO PAY THEN PLEASE DO NOT WASTE MY TIME AND YOURS!!</font></b></p>
<p align="left"><b><font face="Verdana" size="2">ALL Non-paying bidders (NPB)
will receive negative feedback as well as a strike on your eBay account.</font></b></p>
<p align="left"><b><font face="Verdana" size="2">Please be advised that
insurance is NOT required but is HIGHLY recommended. We are NOT responsible for
items lost OR DAMAGED by the postal service. If your item is lost OR DAMAGED in
the mail and you do not purchase insurance then your item is not covered for
refund or replacement.</font></b></p>
<p align="left"><b><font face="Verdana" size="2">All payments must be received
within 10 days of the closing of the auction or a Non Paying bidder complaint
will be filed. Payments for bids received AFTER 10 days may not be honored and
item may be relisted.</font></b></p>
<p align="left"><b><font face="Verdana" size="2">We accept Paypal from confirmed
ADDRESSES only - Our Paypal address is [email protected], Money Orders and
Cash (at your own risk) from all of our U.S. customers.</font></b></p>
<p align="left"><b><font face="Verdana" size="2">Sorry NO PERSONAL CHECKS or
Western Union wire transfers accepted at any time. ALL personal checks will be
returned to sender.</font></b></p>
<p align="left"><b><font face="Verdana" size="2">In the highly unlikely
situation that this product is not currently in stock a full refund or exchange
will be issued.</font></b></p>
You will need to remove all reference to banned payment methods. Remove the words "Cash (at your own risk)" and "Western Union wire transfers". Let us know if you continue to receive error 240.
