Hi all, I'm new to Vendio and I am from Australia.
As per the instruction from the system, I keyed in the shipping carriera and charges (in this case, Australia Post) in the 'international section', since i'm shipping from non-US location to non-US location (including own country).
However, during the template set-up, the 'Australia Post' and charges will appear as 'International Shipping'.
I think this will be misleading for the Australian buyers which I will mainly target. Since, it should be Domestic instead.
Am I missing something here? What can I do to rectify this?

Hi there,
Unfortunately, at this time our system is configured for sellers who are located in the US and shipping from the US. The only way you could set up your shipping from AU is by using the international shipping section for shipping to locations outside the US and the domestic shipping section for shipping to locations within the US. This would tend to be a little confusing for Australian buyers, but you could enter some text in the checkout/post-sale messaging to explain the situation (AU buyers would only be presented with the international options - they would not be able to choose any domestic options in checkout).
I know this is not optimal, but hopefully you can work around it with relative ease.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Hi DianaCS,
Thanks for your reply.
However, what you suggested doesn't seem a very good way of navigating the issue. Since we sellers are consumer-oriented, it won;t help sales if the customers are confused.
Moreover, time will be wasted if more explanation might be required.
Honestly, I myself was confused and frustrated by this issue. It also somehow shows that Vendio is more US-centric than global-centric, which somehow put us (non-US sellers) more off in some way. So much so that I decided to try out Auctiva instead. They don't have such issue in any way and they support non-US users.
However, Auctiva server is so slow and so often down. So much so that I'm here again!
I believe it is not that hard to set the system up so that it will be easy for us non-US sellers. Hopefully I am not asking for too much.
Anyway, I'm still confused which is the best way to go! Help! Hmmmm.....

Hi Cnbdirect,
I would just ad one thing to what Diana has suggested. I would put a note in my ads alerting your AU buyers that you are also in AU and the shipping charges will reflect that.
Also, on the shipping settings you could write in one of the custom/blank fields a fixed shipping cost for the item specifically for AU. If AU buyers are shopping eBay US the will need to be checking international rates anyway as most eBay US sellers are shipping from the US.
I think a note in your ad itself-so that your AU buyers know Before they buy/checkout, and a clear specific option for them in you settings will work around the issue pretty well. I think it will be less confusing than you may think actually.

A small problem. The Vendio International rates do not mesh properly with the ebay shipping. The shipping from Australia to Australia, using the Vendio International input will not display as Australia shipping costs on the ebay description. It will be displayed as other.
It is correct that the correct shipping rates must be displayed in the item description. If you have nothing else to do, and don't mind completing each transaction after the sale, do not use the Vendio shipping functions at this time.
