if I have an item set on automatic relist with no price change. let say the item has been relisting automatically and the price is X
I went to my inventory under "site specific" and changed the price of the item to Y.
Would the next automatic relist pick the new price Y or would the item be relisted at X price.

Is the item relisting based on an auto-launch profile, or an auto-relist? If it is an auto-launch profile, then the change that you made would apply to the next listing. If it is relisting with auto-relist, then the change that you made would not apply to the next listing.
You can tell which is being used by looking at the active listing in your list of active listings. There will be a circular icon with two arrows to the left of the listing. If that icon is orange/yellow, then the listing is being relisted with an auto-launch profile. If that icon is green, then the listing is being relisted with auto-relist.
