Hello,

I was asked to report any glitches in the auctions before making changes. I just launched 10 new auctions through Vendio, and as usual, the insurance comes up as "not offered" instead if "included with S&H" like it should for the way my preferences are set. Here's an example:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7961599928&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT

Any other auctions that have it correct is becuase I revised it manually.

Also, another glitch, today I had an auction end with BIN, and the buyer paid immediately with PayPal. As I understand, if the auction is paid within 30 mins, no WBN will be sent, but in this case it was (I was copied on the email too). Here's the auction it occured on:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7960556743

Please let me know if these are bugs or glitches or is it something I've done wrong.

Thanks,

Peter

Hi Peter,

I test-launched an item in my account with settings comparable to yours for eBay Checkout and it launched with insurance as included in shipping and handling so there doesn't seem to be an issue with the system reverting the insurance to "not offered". The example you gave us -- was it brand new, a relist, or launched from inventory? I copied it and looked at it in your pending listings (you can delete it now) and it shows it listed with "not offered" for insurance.

Regarding your second glitch report -- you have your auto WBN turned on so regardless if the customer paid you, the WBN is going to go out. Only if you have Checkout Redirect on, will the WBN not go out if it is paid within 30 minutes of closure. I checked your preferences and you don't have Checkout Redirect on, so the WBN went out anyway. If you want you can enable this in Post Sale Management so that the WBN won't go out if it is paid within 30 minutes, however this will also keep customers from going through your eBay Checkout and from your posts it seems like you are using that so you might not want to turn on Checkout Redirect.

Regards,

Sonya

Hi Sonya,

All my current auctions are based on a previous one. I basically modified an old auction and then kept making copies of it to suit the individual products. Should I try creating them from scratch next time? Apparently the way my preferences are set, the insurance "should" be coming up as "included with S&H" but it's just not.

Also, for the WBNs, I had that option selected, but then when I realized that eBay Motors auctions are not supported by Vendio Checkout, I took that option off. I've checked it now, but since it doesn't support eBay Motors, will it still let customers use the eBay Checkout? I've only checked it so that people won't get a WBN after they've paid (within 30 mins of auction closure).

Hello,

If you created your original that you are using to copy with the setting 'not offered' for insurance, then it will carry over to all your copies. The default setting you have now for 'included in S&H' will apply to new listings only. Try editing the one you are using to copy and changing the insurance there to 'included in S&H' -- save the changes -- then make a copy and see what it says, as that should fix the problem. If you still have my copy in pending you can use that and just save the copy in pending, and make copies off that. Or to make it easier you can save it to your Vendio inventory and just list out of there.

Your customers should be able to use eBay Checkout for Motors but if you run into any problems with it, let me know.

Regards,

Sonya

Thanks Sonya, I'll try that for the next set of auctions I list.
