According to the User's Guide, I can make all of my inventory available in the Vendio Store but since switching to SMIE, there is only one of each item showing. It says that I must make the items visible. When I look at the store category, there are some items that say they are invisible and some that do not include any mention of visible or invisible. I do not understand what I have to do to make them all visible - - they have all been given store categories.

Hi there,

Ok, if you're using SMIE, you will want to check the boxes of items in like categories, assign them Vendio store categories, using the 'FIND AND REPLACE' button. Once the categories are assigned to all of the items you want to appear in your store, you will want to use the 'FIND AND REPLACE' button again to make the items visible. Once the items have a category and are visible, they will appear in your Vendio store.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you!

OK - - they are now visable but the quantites still show as one (1) each. How do I get the entire inventory to be available in the Vendio Store?

I still cannot get a larger quantity than (1) to show up in the Vendio Store.

Also I cannot see where SKU 1801 - was transferred over when I switched from SMME to SMIE. How do I retrieve it?

Hi there,

Thanks for your post. If you have quantity available in your ivnentory, your customers will be able to purchase as many as they like from you while they are purchasing through the Vendio store. The available quantity in your store should be the same as the quantity available in your inventory.

Secondly, have you done an import. Any items in SMME will be transferred with an import. Simply use the import function and you should see old ads.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you!

Yes, I did an import - - but the grand piano mug was not transferred. I don't know how many other items may not have made it. I only discovered this item when I was updating inventory.

I still need help on this - - the grand piano coffee mug is still not showing up in the SMIE. I believe all of the other items in that category are showing up after the import - - but the grand piano is MIA.

There is still only a quantity of one of each of the items showing in the store. What am I missing here? You are telling me that the quantity showing should be the same as the total inventory on that item.

Hello,

I did verify that item GRAND PIANO COFFEE MUG Black & gold with SKU 1801, did exist in SMME and did not import into SMIE. I do see that it is posted visible on your Vendio store though.

I tried a second import to see it the item would be imported, but it did not. The items in the folder "Former Inventory Items_2005-07-28 12:06:08" are dupicates of the items you already imported. They do not affect your Vendio store. For now, please ignore this folder, or if you find other items missing you can look for them in this folder.

I am going to email one of our engineers to see why this single item did not import. It may take a couple days to get this answer, but I will get back to you.

In the meantime, your store is functioning properly. The Quantity displayed in the details of an item is the Quantity offered for the price you set. When the buyer enters the checkout, they are able buy more by updating the quantity. This is standard behavior for online transactions.

If you have any other questions, or find any other items missing, please let us know, otherwise I will get back to you about the reason for the missing item. Thanks for you patience.

Best,
Abe

I have discovered that there are no bass clef or treble clef baseball caps listings in the vendio store although I do have inventory. Maybe it would just be easier if I go back to SMME - - if I have to go through each of the items like this.

If I switch back to SMME, will everything go back to exactly where it was when I switched to SMIE? And all of the missing items in SMIE will show up in SMME?

Hello,

The bass and treble clef baseball caps can be easily added to the store if you would like. Select then with a checkbox, click the Find and Replace button at the top, then choose Store Visible next to the Field label. In the next menu, select Visible in Store, then leave "apply to selected items".
You can do this for one or more items at a time. I did find. ...actually, I don't see any caps with quantity in stock that are not on your store. All caps with quantity available to sell are in your store. So the status of these items appears correct.
If you switch back to SMME, everything will be just like it was in SMME before you switched. Any edits or new items you created in SMIE will not be transferred back to SMME. I would recommend sticking with SMIE at this point.
As I understand it, you are missing a total of 1 item. I know this is a little disturbing, but it seems like you have already verified that the rest are there and things seem to be ok. You can easily recreate the Grand Piano Mug ad in SMIE. You could even copy the description and title right from your own Vendio store.

Sorry I don't have any information right now about why that one item did not import. I hope to get back to you with something on that within a couple days.

Thanks for your patience.

Best,
Abe
