This is bad.

A buyer today purchased a quantity of 2 of an item. I only HAD 2 and one was up for sale in ebay store.

Only 1 should have shown in vendio store, yet the buyer was able to buy 2 from vendio store (NOT ebay)

I checked it myself with an item. Another one that I have a quantity of 2. One is in ebay store. I went to my vendio store and added the item to my cart. I was able to CHANGE the quantity of 1 to 2 and was able to add it to my cart and reach check out.

That should NOT have happened. There should only be ONE available as the 2nd one is listed in my ebay store (and vendio knows it. Was listed through vendio and shows as "held" in my vendio inventory screens.

What is worse? The item today (versace evening bag) that someone was able to buy 2 of out of my vendio store? The same item listed in my ebay store sold today as well. I now am SHORT one item to ship.

Please fix this loop hole!

It was ORDER 797116076

and also sold out of ebay store in vendio ORDER 797183918

3 of the same item, when I only had TWO in my vendio inventory system. Isn't vendio supposed to stop over-selling? One of the 2 was listed in my ebay store (and was listed through vendio). Vendio should have Held that one, right?

Why did they allow the straight vendio store buyer to purchase 2 then? When only a TOTAL of 2 was in my inventory and 1 was listed in ebay?

Any information on a fix for this? Just tried again and I am able to go to my vendio store and buy THREE of an item when there is only 1 in stock.

Just tried with VERSACE Comfort Lip Pencil Lip Liner V2002 w/ sharpener. I have 2 in inventory. 1 listed in ebay store (which vendio DOES recognize). Was able to put THREE in my shopping cart when test buying in my vendio store.

Thanks,

Lori

Hi Lori,

Sorry for the frustration. I looked into the example and the test that you posted.

I tested "VERSACE Comfort Lip Pencil Lip Liner V2002 w/ sharpener" just as you did, but I took it a couple steps further and was Not able to make the purchase. I tried to purchase 2 which would have overdrawn your inventory by 1. It did allow me to choose shipping, and gave me a final price, but when I chose a payment method it did give me an error and that the message that quantity specified was not available.
Just to be sure that every thing was working properly, I then edited my quantity to 1 and was able succesfully purchase it. (I had to go through the whole process to test. If you actually have 1 left, please update the "quantity available" for the item so that it becomes visible on your store again. "VERSACE Comfort Lip Pencil Lip Liner V2002 w/ sharpener" )

I also went in and deciphered the history of the item "VERSACE Evening Bag Pressed Powder V-2002 Lipstick V-2012"

As I read the history, it calculated correctly.
On 07/26/2005 it had 4 available
Counting all the sales from that day forward:
07/31/2005 eBay Store sale 6788913454
08/11/2005 2 bags from 1 Vendio store listing 797116074
08/11/2005 eBay Store sale 6787037581

3 purchases for a total of 4 bags brought your quantity available down to 0.

If you only had 3 bags, perhaps the fact that you started with 4 in stock with Vendio was a typo, or maybe you have a bag hidden in the corner somewhere.
Sorry for the stress, and I know that details page is not easy to read, but it looks like it did calculate correctly.

Best,
Abe
