eBay has slowly started to enforce using the Custom Item specifics in some categories. Try removing the value from the regular item specifics, then specify it only in the Custom Item specifics just below.
Simply specifying the value in the custom item specifics won't work well enough, you will need to also remove the value from the regular item specifics before resubmitting the item.
We are working on adding some wording/tips to this area, as well as possible removing the old option in the regular specifics area to avoid any future confusion (if eBay is planning to always block listings that specify any value in this field.)

I talked to eBay and they confirmed that the category (clothing) changes have been extended to July 20.
eBay said they have been getting calls from sellers with third party providers that have gotten errors, because the third party providers did not extend the time (like eBay did).
When listing on eBay there is one page for Item specifics (and shows four item specifics that must be filled in).
Vendio has two separate areas, Item specifics (which show the incorrect options (ex. misses / should now be regular), and Vendio has another loaction called Custom item specifics, that show the exact same thing, but with the correct options (ex. like regular).
When playing with this I have been able to list items. But I am worried about future relists on these items due to Vendio double / split item specifics.
Is Vendio going to update so items are not kicked out / errored (like they are now) to the new date of July 20?
Is Vendio going to combine the item specifics so there is one area, and shows the correct options for listing?
I would like to set my account so I can prefil my item specifics, like I used to do. I would like one area for item specifics like eBay has, not two areas(with one that does not work) like Vendio has. I would also like to not have to deal with my items being kicked back for no reason.
We have verified with eBay engineers that this issue exists on their end and are working with the other effected vendors at finding workarounds in the interim until they correct this problem fully.

I have tons of items getting error today.
I called eBay again and they told me there was nothing on their end and that they would all work until July 20.
Question :
When is Vendio going to set up Item specifics, so they look and work like ebay's?
Right now you have two areas, Item specifics that does not work (and includes terms eBay no longer uses which is kicking most of my items back), and the other is Customs Item specifics that has a weird layout that makes you do extra clicks, just to get an option to come up that is required to use.
I have thousands of items that I will need to fix, and want to fix them when Vendio has their set up correct and will not be changing it.
eBay announced this change a long time ago, and has pushed the update several times.
Vendio still does not have it set up yet. When will Vendio have this ready?

When trying to select in Custom Item Specifics / Brand the drop down menu (for pants) only goes from 2B Free to AW Golf
That leaves most of the rest of the alphabet.
I can type things in, but I might not get them exactly right or the exact text way eBay wants them.
I have noticed that even a capitalization error(like in sizing S or s) will be wrong if you do not get it perfect.
As noted in the announcement on your Sales Manager page, eBay is aware of this glitch in their system and working to correct it - though they haven't provided any ETA's or workarounds yet unfortunately.
While our setup LOOKS different from how it does when you list directly at eBay, the fields still match up. Please use the section labeled 'Custom Item Specifics' as mentioned on the create item form going forward, as this is what eBay labels as simply 'item specifics' on their own listing form currently.
As mentioned above we will remove the old item specifics from our system when eBay does stop supporting them on July the 20th.
