I have deleted all of my categories and added new. The old category images still show up on my homepage. How do I get rid of the images??

Hello,
In order to remove the images, please go to "Stores" --> "Template Editor" --> "Advanced" --> select "Enable Advanced Mode" --> select "Edit XML" and browse for the "mycontent/xmls/metadata.xml" file. Then locate any entries that look like this:
<Image id="3911375">w.jpg</Image>
The number will be different (depending on the category), as will the image file name. Delete any of the entries for categories that no longer exist, and save and publish the changes. If you are unable to tell which categories need to be deleted, you should be able to tell by the image file names. Please let us know should you continue to have trouble with this.
