Hi again, in my last post I forgot to mention that when I try to drag the image to my desktop a box pops up asking for my password. I put in the password but nothing happens. The image just does not go to the desktop. I also get a box that says I do not have sufficient privileges to do this operation. HELP!

Hi Steve,

I just replied to your other post. Just to recap here - I think you may be trying to drag from iPhoto while still in the import process. Until you import the images to iPhoto from the camera (and into the library) - they likely won't allow you to drag/drop them over to the desktop.

Regards,
Chris

Hi Chris, sorry but your reply is to the best of my knowledge not the right answer. I have put on over 2000 auctions over the years and to the best I can remember this is the way I have always done it.I import the images from my camera to iphoto. Once there I edit them for color, brightness etc etc. Once I am satisfied with the results I click done.
At this point I should be able to double click the image and a yellow box forms around the image and then I should be able to drag it to the desk top, rename it and then pull it up in Vendio under upload images.
But as I said in my first post the image just keeps rebounding back to my iphoto site. I think the problem is something to do with as I said in my second post "insufficient privileges". I have absolutely no idea what to do about that as Apple is of no help. Once I am out of warranty they don't want to bother with you. Steve

Hi Chris, called Apple again and a Tech Support expert took pity on me. They remotely took over my computer and found that somehow I had locked myself out of my desktop and that is why I could not drag the images there.
Anyway now that that is resolved I am having a problem uploading the image to Vendio. I rename the image, go to upload images in Vendio and click on choose. The new image name show up in "image location" but does not show up in "image name". So that when I click on upload after the dots finish rolling I get a Failed message. I have tried several different ways with no success.
I have selected the correct site that I want the image in ie: "all other items".
So, any suggestions that you can come up with would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Steve

Hello Steve,

The image name field is only in case you want to change the name of the image as you upload it. Other than that it should be left blank. Please let us know the image file name and image file size for one of the specific images that you are having trouble with, so that we can take a closer look.

Regards,
Nathan

Hi Nathan, have tried that way also and still no luck. I either get a "Failed" message or "Error-Bad File".
One item I am trying to put on has an image name as DSCN0058.jpg. Don't know the image size or how to find it. Please let me know how to find an image size so that I will know for the future. I have tried smaller images so I don't think that size is the problem but as usual I am probably wrong.
As you probably remember I have been with Vendio over 10 years and have put on probably 4-5000 images if not more. So I don't understand what could be wrong with these images. I haven't put on any new images for several months as eBay has been slower than watching grass grow. Any auctions I have put on were old ones that were relisted with old images. So perhaps I have just forgotten how to do it. The first problem was with Apple. Got that resolved but now this is for sure a Vendio problem probably of my doing. Please help. Thanks, Steve

Hello Steve,

You should be able to find the file size for the image by right-clicking on it and then selecting "Properties". Please let us know the file size of this image.

Regards,
Nathan

Hi Nathan, there was no properties line when I right clicked the tmage. But there was a "Get Info". So I clicked that one and got the following info. 6.3 mbs and 3125 x4894. Hope this is the info you needed. Steve

Hi Steve,

That is the issue right there, your picture is over the max file size limit by 5.3MB's. Try resizing the image a little before uploading, as right now you have it in a size and resolution suitable for printing an HD wall poster right now!

Regards,
Chris
