I have done this in the past but now I can not recall the name of the module to pull up and change the number of items showing.
The path I took in previous changes was from the template editor - advanced - enable advanced mode - edit HTML - ?
I can not recall the module after edit HTML to change the number of items that show on a page. I want to change it from 8 showing to 12 showing.
Could you tell me if the path I described above is correct and what the name of the module is. If I am not correct please outline how to do this.
In order to do this, please go to "Stores" --> "Template Editor" --> "Advanced" --> select "Enable Advanced Mode" --> select "Edit HTML" and browse for the "content/category.html" file.
Then locate the line of code that looks like this:

Thanks for the instructions. I have made the changes exactly as you described but this did not solve my issue.
I did however notice that the number showing at top center of the category pages is showing wrong numbers now. Example is football items have 103 listings and the first page shows
1-8 of 103, then
13-20 of 103 then
25-32 of 103 then
37-44 of 103
