My question concerns shipping profiles. It seems to me that the number of shipping profiles needed would be unlimited, almost one for each sale, since the profile contains the shipping price and if I am selling a great variety of items each one would need its own shipping cost and profile. How, effectively, should one handle this? Create one profile and then customize it and rename it for each unique item? You'd end up with hundreds of profiles. What am I missing here? Thanks.
Profiles are a great way to skip re-entering the same information over and over again.
If your shipping carriers are always the same and you use fixed shipping prices, you could create it once and just click the 'customize these settings' when your on the create listings page to just make changes to the prices. You don't actually have to create a shipping profile at all, you could just edit the settings when you get to the shipping section when you list.
