Sometimes when I copy an item then edit the new item to make changes, when I go into the ebay section, I get a pop up save confirmation window that says:
The current eBay ad has been modified.
To save it, click Save Changes and then select the ad you want to switch to.
To discard unsaved changes and switch to a different ad, click Discard Changes.
If I cancel out of the box, I lose the ebay info and then when I try to save the ad I get an error message saying that the ebay ad with that name already exists and I cannot save the item.

I don't think that you will be able to tell much if I click back on the browser because the changes that I have made will be canceled. But I did it and the SKU is 924127744 and the title is:
New Bosch Tassimo Suprema TAS4511UC Silk Silver
More information on what I did before it happened: After I copied, I changed the UPC and did a catalog match and choose an item to change the info for the item. Then I did some editing.
I tried another one and when I clicked on discard changes, things were OK and I could continue. I guess that that is the workaround, but it is not really clear why the message comes up.
Thank you for the additional information. I was able to duplicate the problem, and I have asked our engineers to take a look. In the meantime, do you seem to actually lose any data when clicking the "Save Changes" button? I also received the message about not being able to save the item, but the error message seemed to be in error (all of the changes appeared to have saved any way).

If I click save changes I get the following error message:
EbayAd with [ name = eBay Ad ] already exists. Then I x out of that error message and all the ebay ad info is the default (mostly blank) info instead of a copy of the original ad. Then if I try to save the ad, I get the:
EbayAd with [ name = eBay Ad ] already exists.
error message again.
Thank you for the clarification, and I am sorry for the trouble you are having with this. We will let you know as soon as we hear back from our engineers on this.
