I HAVE THE BASIC SALES MANAGER AND WANT TO KNOW HOW TO PLACE THINGS IN INVENTORY. I TRIED TO LIST A NEW ITEM AND THEN PUT IT IN INVENTORY (WHETHER IT SELLS OR NOT). I HAVE MULTIPLE DUPLICATE ITEMS AND CAN LIST THE DUPLICATES WITH MINOR CHANGES (IE. DIFFERENT SERIAL NUMBERS). that WILL MAKE IT EASIER TO LIST ADDITIONAL ITEMS OR SIMILAR ITEMS.
What your looking for is the 'profile' option you can set for your items when using the Merchandising Edition of the original Vendio Sales Manager (what your using now.)
When creating or editing the item in question, there is an option at the bottom of the listing form to 'save this item to inventory' - simply check this box prior to saving the item.
Once saved in inventory, go to inventory and click to edit this item. While editing any item in your inventory there is a box to check in the upper right corner that says 'profile item' - check this and save.
Now when you click to create a new item from your Sales Manager page, you can opt to apply all of the details from this inventory item to the new listing your creating. The option to apply that item as a profile is on that first step of creating the listing where you select the category, just above the category tree itself (just change the default from new listing to the profile/inventory item you want to apply.)
