Are bulk upload tools available to move items into my Vendio Store and/or Inventory Management? I have an existing website that I am considering moving all of the inventory to my Vendio Store. I'd like to use the Inventory Management to integrate. The website uses OSCommerce which allows me to produce export files.

Hello Lewis,
There is a .csv import option, however you would need to switch to the Sales Manager Inventory Edition in order to use this. You may switch from Merchandising Edition to Inventory Edition by going to "My Account" --> "My Service Plans" --> then click "change edition" next to "Sales Manager Merchandising Edition". Once you have switched to Inventory Edition you may locate the .csv import options under "Sales Manager" --> "Import" --> "Import from .csv File". The instructions on how to do this are located here as well.

Nathan

Can I get a review of the .csv fields that will be needed to import? My website developer will need that info to know how to convert the files into usable data.

Hello,
Once you have switched to Sales Manager Inventory edition, you may download a copy of the .csv template under "Sales Manager" --> "Import" --> "Import from .csv file" --> then click where it says "Click here to download the Vendio CSV template". You may also locate the instructions for how this works on the "Sales Manager" --> "Import" page by clicking the "Learn More" link.

I see that the shopping cart enables "Accept Google Checkout, Authorize.net and Payflo Pro". Is Paypal included? If not, how does a seller enable Paypal as a payment option?

Hello,
From your last question it sounds like you may be reading about something other than the SMIE inventory importer as it does not support Google Checkout or Authorize.net.
Just be sure that the payment methods you want to accept are setup in your My Account - Global Preferences page as this is what will map to your import file in the Sales Manager Inventory Edition.

I updated to the Inventory Edition. Some questions:
1. I had an extensive Pending Listings selection that is no longer there! How do I get them back?
2. There was a set of small icons at the upper left corner of the old pages which allowed creation of a single eBay listing? How do I do that without starting up Sales Manager Pro for just a single listing?
Thanks!

Just to clarify about the Pending Listings: They had no schedule date. These were items too few to list in the inventory and I would schedule them randomly as needed.

Hello,
Note that if you plan to use the Inventory Edition of the Sales Manager going forward there will be a few big changes.
First, to create any listings you will be doing it from the inventory page, as the old 'create listings' widget on the older platform you had isn't on the Inventory Edition.
Next, in order to get your items from the old pending section over to the new inventory system, you will need to run an import.
On the left side of the Sales Manager page there is a link to import, where you can opt to import from your existing Vendio account. When you do this and it's completed there will be a new folder in inventory labeled 'former SM items.'
This is where your previous pending listings will now be available to edit and list from as needed.

1. The create listing widget was an important tool for me. It was quick and simple for one-of-a-kind items to get an item to eBay easily. I don't think that was an "improvement" to the system.
2. I used the import option but the Former Inventory list is empty. The old list of Pending items I had were NOT in the inventory. They were single items that I planned to launch as needed. I would use the "copy" option on listings to create a similar Pending Listings item for future use. How do I recover these?
3. Having a quick way to review listings that are actually Pending is necessary. How do I see just Pending listings for quick decisions?

Hello,
1. The Inventory Edition of the program is better suited for listing inventory type items Vs one of a kind listings. Ive found it to be just as fast if not faster once you get used to the layout, but if you prefer the old system you can switch back (you just lose any work you did while in the Inventory Edition.)
2. When you run the import again, this time pick the option labeled 'Import inventory based on my existing listings' so you get your pending items as well. You will know when you have done it correctly as you will have a 'Former SM items' folder. You will NOT find it in the 'Former inventory' folder.
3. There is still a pending section. Now the pending section is more accurate in that it shows items actually pending to list and doesn't mix in any unscheduled items. Clicking to view the pending items will show you items pending to launch.

Chris

Ok! Thanks. I got the import done ok.
I ended up with 2 "Former Inventory Items" folders. Can I just delete those with no harm?
The former Pending items have shown up in the "All Folders" screen and I can work with them there. Should I delete the "Former SM Items" folder and be ok? Everything I need is now in the "All Folders" listings so can I do without all the imported folders now -- or will I undo the import?

Hello,
As long as you don't need any of the items in the folder, then sure, you can delete it no problem.
Remember that everything shows up in the 'all items' folder, including the items in those 'former ...' folders, so move anything you want to save out of those into a different folder first.

Chris

Thank you for your help! The purpose for going to the Inventory Edition was to look into moving the items from my website to my Vendio Store. I have about 2,500 items on my website, over half of which are unique items (coins and stamps). QUESTION: Do ALL of the Vendio Store listings HAVE to be in the inventory? I'd hate to have to handle that many items in the Inventory area. I'd like to use the Inventory management for items that have more than a quantity of one. If there is an easy way to handle this -- it would be what?
Thanks.

Hello Lewis,
Unfortunately, with the inventory edition it is necessary to create an inventory item to launch a listing. You can delete the inventory item once the listing ends (if you no longer need that data). What you might want to do is place the inventory items where you only have a quantity of 1 into a separate folder. Then you can find the items that need to be deleted after you are done with them. The inventory view (where you see your list of inventory items) will show you if there is a quantity on market and/or a quantity available.

Nathan
