Hi,

For some reason, my store categories can not be loaded. It keeps buffering and after a while an error message would appear stating that there are some server problems.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Dean

I am also having this problem. I was hoping to list a lot of items today but I cannot due to this. Please let us know what is going on. Thank you.

Hello,

I checked both of your accounts, but was unable to see the problem. Are either of you currently having this problem? Or has it since cleared up? If you are currently having this problem, please provide more specifics about where the problem is happening so that we can take a closer look. For example, is this when you are creating a new item, or is it under the "Stores" --> "Categories" menu?

Regards,
Nathan

Hello,

Check if your copy of FireFox has any available updates to it. From your message center post, it looks like your both running FireFox 3.5.16, where the current version of 3.6.
It's possible that an available update of the browser may cure this issue, if a simple reboot does not.

Chris

I too have been getting the same error albeit not very often.I, however, run chrome so its not just a browser issue.Sometimes it will just sit there and spin until I log out then back in.That seems to be the only thing to get it working again.

Under Items-Create Items the error message reads: "There was a server error while reading category tree"

This happens actually quite often. As I have, per your instructions, upgraded Firefox it has continued happening. When I run it on Chrome the same thing happens every once in a while.

What could this be?

Thanks,

Dean

Hello Dean,

For some reason the system stats that are shown when you post here in the message center seems to think your copy of FireFox is still running at 3.5.16. Can you go to the help menu in FireFox, then to 'about FireFox' to confirm it really did update properly to the newest available version?

Chris

I am having the same problem now too. I am running Internet Explorer 9 on Windows 7. I just want to remove some categories that Ebay imported and I do not want on my Webstore.

Hello,

diecastandtoyspast - Look for the 'tools' menu in your browser, click it and then select 'compatibility mode.' Once compatibility mode is enabled you should be able to work with the tree without errors.

I am having the same problem. I cannot access my categories to remove them or anything. I also cannot get the template editor to come up.
