This small creation is woven from a mix of urban Aurora Colorado pine needles, from two to three inches in length.  The pine needles vary in color from rich tan to reddish brown, and their natural gloss makes them slippery and difficult to work with.  None the less Harvest found that she was very inspired by the possibilities whispered by these pine needles and named this basket Gestation.  (This is the only named piece in our current section of Harvest’s work.) We hope the ideas born of this tiny basket, the undulating character of the coils, the subtle changes of color from one species of needle to another, will also inspire your dreams. 2.7.10  Measures roughly 2" across.
