How do I know if my pet has worms?
Cats: A number of intestinal parasites will produce no visible symptoms
in your cat at all or at least not at first. Other parasites such as
the tapeworm will usually be visible in your cats feces and in the hair
or on the skin around his anus.
Other symptoms of worms in cats may include:
* Vomiting
* Persistent dry cough
* Swollen abdomen
* Anemia
* Diarrhea
* Persistent scratching around the anus
* Weight loss
* Eating a great deal without putting on weight
* Breathing problems
* Bad breath
Dogs: In many cases you may not even know that your dog has worms
without having a sample of his feces analyzed. Certain intestinal
parasites such as tapeworm however are usually clearly visible either
clinging to the skin or hair around the dogs anus or in a fresh feces.
Other symptoms of worms in dogs may include:
* Weight loss
* Gastrointestinal disturbances
* Diarrhea
* Anemia
* Scratching, particularly around the base of the tail
* Vomiting
* Mild to severe coughing
* Eating a great deal without putting on weight
* Bad breath
What are the consequences of not treating
internal parasites?
In some cases, apart from slight irritation, your pet may not be too concerned about a mild worm infestation.
However a number of internal parasites can be life threatening,
particularly in large numbers. Some pets may even develop a
hypersensitivity to worms, which can cause serious complications.
If you are concerned about your pets symptoms consult a holistic vet for advice before resorting to over-the-counter remedies.
How are worms usually treated?
When it comes to getting rid of worms many people head straight for
over-the-counter treatments, many of which are excessively harsh and
often less than effective. Some may even be harmful in the long run.
What is Heartworm?
Heartworm (Dirofilaria immitis) is a parasitic worm which infects mostly
dogs. However, more vets are realizing that cats may also be infected
with heartworm. Although all internal parasites can be harmful to the
health of your pet, heartworm infestation is serious and can be fatal
unless treated in time.

How can natural remedies help?
When it comes to your pets health, natural remedies are usually a good place to start.
Although a number of conventional de-worming treatments are very
effective, most, if not all, are chemically-based and may be harmful to
your pet in the long-term. Continual de-worming with conventional
products may also weaken your pets immune system.
Holistic practitioners recognize that the whole animal should be treated
to maximize health and reduce imbalance in the system caused by a
variety of environmental and dietary stresses.
A combination of natural medicine, healthy diet and regular exercise will help to protect your pet against parasitic infection.

How has Parasite Dr. helped others?
"I have never liked the idea of the chemical products for de-worming my
animals, but there did not seem to be much choice! Thanks for providing
an effective alternative!" - Cindy B
"My vet said that these things don't work but I have proved her wrong
time and time again. Now she can see the proof in my pets. The parasite
dr works very well and I know that it will not harm my animals of which I
have three dogs and two cats! I love your website!" - G. R.
"My daughter has been using your (people) products for her family for
some time and she has always recommended them for me. As I am very
healthy, I have not had much need for any medicine :-) (thank goodness!)
My cats do get worms no matter what I do and it was great to discover
that you have a pet website. The Parasite Dr has lived up to its promise
and I can certainly recommend it to other pet owners" - Carole
"I have a Min Pin, 8 years old. For the last 6 months he has not barked
at all, wheezes and I figured he may have heart worms even though he is
on Heart Gard. I gave him your Parasite Dr. for the past 2 weeks. I am
thoroughly amazed. My dog is alive and barking as loud as he can. He
looks and acts totally different. I am totally amazed at your product
and recommend it HIGHLY to anyone who suspects their dog has a parasite.
Thanks PetAlive." - Jan
"I recently had a 4 year old female rough collie given to me. When I got
her, her fur was thin and brittle, her bones stuck out everywhere and
generally presented a very sick animal. I took her to the vet who told
me she had a very advanced case of heartworm. They wanted to treat her
with two injections given a couple of weeks apart, but wanted to keep
her there. Since I have other animals that I care for, funds were
limited and the vet didn't seem to think she would live. So, I took her
home and got on-line. I found your site and ordered your Parasite Dr.
capsules. After 4-6 weeks, her fur is coming back in and her weight
started increasing after the third week. The difference is amazing and I
wanted to share this with you. I give the capsules to all my dogs.
Thank you for an alternative remedy that is not only better for the
animal, but, less expensive. Thank you again, and I am now a loyal
customer." - Sheryl

How do we use Parasite Dr.?
Parasite Dr. comes in convenient capsule form.
Capsules may be swallowed whole by larger dogs. However, most owners
find that it is easier and more convenient to open the capsule and mix
the contents with wet food or a treat. This prevents stress to both pet
and owner! Cats, especially, hate to have medicine forced down their
throats and will happily eat the dried herb when it is mixed with a
treat, a little fish or rolled into a butter ball.
Dosage:
(Capsule may be opened and mixed with wet food or swallowed whole depending on preferences)
Cats and small dogs: 1/2 capsule twice daily.
Medium dogs: One capsule twice daily.
Large dogs: One to two capsules twice daily. Continue for approximately three weeks. Repeat when necessary.
Caution: Not recommended for kittens and puppies under 6 months or very elderly animals. Avoid during pregnancy and nursing.
How long will a bottle last?
Depending on the size of your pet, Parasite Dr will last 15 - 60 days.
