Fees for selling on eBay

When you list an item on eBay, you're charged an insertion fee. If the item sells, you're also charged a final value fee. The basic cost of selling an item is the insertion fee plus the final value fee.

The basic fee structure depends on the type of listing—auction-style or fixed price format—you use.

All fees are in U.S. dollars.

The fees described on this page apply to all categories except eBay Motors, Real Estate, and Classified Ads.

Insertion fees for auction-style format listings

* Your first 100 auction-style listings in a month won't be charged an insertion fee if:

• Your starting price is between $0.01 and $0.99, and

• There is no reserve price

When your starting price is between $0.01 and $0.99, after your 100th listing in a month, you'll be charged a $0.10 insertion fee per listing.

The fine print

• If your seller account is suspended for any reason, any charges on your seller account are immediately due and payable. eBay reserves the right to charge your billing method for any amounts you haven't previously disputed.

• When you submit your listing, it might not appear immediately in a keyword or category search. This can take several hours. Therefore, eBay can't guarantee exact listing durations.

• Good 'Til Cancelled listings renew automatically every 30 days until the item sells or you end the listing. Insertion fees are charged every 30-day period.

• You can see your recent account activity for the last 4 months by viewing your Account Activity page.

• Fees apply to each listing you create.

• eBay may, in our sole discretion, and without your consent or payment to you, place third-party advertisements on any page of our website.
