This floor protector may be used in place of noncombustible millboard specified by the manufacturer of a heat producing appliance complying with:
1. Standard for Factory-Built Fireplaces, UL-127
2. Standard for Solid-fuel type Room Heaters, UL-1482
3. Standard for Fireplace Stoves, UL-737
4. Fireplace inserts complying with the applicable requirements specified in UL-737 & UL-1482
5. Gas fired fireplaces or room heaters requiring floor protection specified by their manufacturer.
This product is equivalent to 3/8" of millboard with k=.84 value. The k value of this protecor may not be increased by adding isulation material between the protector and a combustible surface if an appliance requires a greater amount of protection than 3/8" of k=.84.
The color and patterns in the tiles will be very similar from pad to pad.
