The article was posted by septembermom about a soldier who lost his leg to a road side bomb and received a prosthetic and wanted to return to Iraq.
Then lindak made the comment Thank heaven there are men [and maybe women] serving today.
A couple of weeks ago one of my good news stories was about soldiers receiving prosthetics and wanting to return to Iraq and I was told by lindak I didn't know good from evil.
lindak, it's probably been a year or so since the discussion of women serving in Iraq but if you intend to spend the rest of your day twisting and dragging up every incident where we crossed paths just so you can fight and then have your ego fed by dblfugger each time she comes in and pumps you up, don't expect me to roll in the mud with both of you and participate.

fenix as you and I both know there are areas in Iraq that NEVER even had water or electricity, nor sewers. Now many do. Why? Because of what the US and other countries have been working on. There were areas that already had some [differing levels] of electricity. That hasn't changed. The GRIDs were repaired in 2003 to pre-war levels is A FACT. That their whole electrical system was ROTTING according to the men on the ground trying to get it in better shape...is NOT something the US bombing destroyed. period.
The fact is saddam neglected his country FOR DECADES...most of their infastructure was falling apart LONG before we got there. THAT's the FACTS.
Blame him for once....rather than your own country who is doing it's very best to make the necessary repairs WHILE fighting a war.

What I am stating is not a lie, lindak. It was your lie that you started a thread on soldiers on the front lines.
The letter/article I had posted was speaking to the issue of those on the FRONT LINES.
It wasn't you at all that posted the article, it was septembermom and it was about a different matter entirely. Just another case where you choose to distort everything to suit yourself here and don't expect anyone to 'catch' you.
