I've got a 6 month old teething. I'm able to ignore all other issues but that one.

Linda_K, I hope everything goes well for your husband.
The biggest unresolved issue around here is the wait for a zoning variance to determine if we can expand our house. Many steps that could be taken during nice weather are on hold because I want to be sure we can proceed.

Thanks so much snowy and toke. Doppler showed vein is blocked, they're just not sure exactly where...therefore the angiogram. Surgery's already scheduled for the day after. I'm a wreck  and you're right...the waiting and worry is very hard.

Thankfully, the only "issue" we have right now is when my daughter will move out on her own. I guess if that's the most pressing issue we have, we're pretty darned lucky!

My Dad has been uable to be on his own for 3years now, so he lives with me. He has a compulsive disorder which gets a bit worse as time marches on. We have gone from just needing things done a certain way, to also needing to have them done at percisely a certain time. Then of course, there are the germs which prevents anyone from being able to come into the house (except me) and I have to take certain "precautions" (I have to change clothes and wash my hands immediately)! His favorite "fragrance" is Clorox (regular-not the new scented ones).
I keep focusing on the humor of it, 'cause if I didn't, I would probably cry. It's so "real" for him.

On the upside, having to change clothes several times a day enables me to have a very large wardrobe without feelings of guilt!

Seems that the biggest issue is frequently the well being of someone you love.

I have a doctor's appointment on July 18th to see if my cholesterol went down. If it did not, they might suggest medication which I do not want.
My last visit was February 28th and they gave me a list of things not to eat. I have had virtually zero saturated fat since that phone call and am praying that it went down.
Some folks have told me that once you stop eating saturated fat it goes down pretty fast. Let's hope so.

uaru, have you tried giving her a frozen (clean) washcloth to teeth on? Frozen bagels work pretty well, too.
My biggest unresolved issue involves custody of my two girls. We are sort of in a trial period, which I agreed to, but it's getting harder and harder to abide by the agreement. I miss having them near me on an everyday basis. Should have resolution by September, but it seems so far off.

Good luck on your DR Visit kerryann! If you have managed to stay away from virtually all saturated fat since February 28th, I am impressed! Sometimes I can make it a couple of days....

My Dad is undergoing Chemo for Luekemia. It seemed to help for a few weeks, but the last lab tests where not good. Most everything else that's going on is minor compared to that.

Whether to move back to a more populated area or not. I thought now that I was older, I'd like country/small town life, but now I'm not sure. I love WA state though, so this time it won't be a 3000 mile move.

Have to go 25 miles to get any good deli.
That fishbowl feeling of everyone knowing your business.
Less to do when it comes to movies, theatre, museums, etc.
Lack of employment opportunities. In a city, I can get work at the drop of a hat because with a degree in accounting, I do secreterial/admin work, and I'm great at it because I love it. Here, if I want to work for a couple of months (I like temp assignments), it's a hassle finding anything that even pays enough to make it worth doing.
One thing you may not think of: you know all those great long distance companies you have to choose from? Well, it's not profitable for them to offer those options to rural America, and our options are much fewer.
There are good things about country living. It's gorgeous here. Except for a couple of months in the summer, it's quiet and peaceful. The post office in town is very efficient, and they don't work behind bullet-proof glass. This is a quirky little town that has had a lot of mini population booms (then down-turns of course), so there's not a lot of narrow-mindedness here.
I think the hardest thing for me to adjust to was just being noticed. It's easier to be invisible in cities, and I kind of like that.
