I came back to this thread and Sam stood right out at me and gave me such a warm, hopeful feeling!
Can I use your PIC in my auctions, too?
I'd love to share the "aura" of your son with my bidders, the way that you have shared it with all of us!

I hate to be the doom and gloom person-but wasn't there a thread on here a while back about people using these kid's pictures for 'evil purposes'? I don't remember exactly what it was, but everyone was being warned not to post their kids photos on the net where they could be stolen. Just don't want to see that happen to you!

we sure could use a little good news......
hope you all can take from this the same good strong feeling I get when I hear it sung......
never think you are the only one wanting peace........ love, Mom
.......sung by Anne Murray, Canada's 'snowbird', sorry I do not have the name of the author....
I rolled out this morning
Kids had the mornin' news show on
Bryant Gumbel was talkin' 'bout the fighting in Lebanon
Some senator was squawkin' 'bout the bad economy
It's gonna get worse you see, we need a change in policy
There's a local paper rolled up in a rubber band
One more sad story's one more than I can stand
Just once how I'd like to see the headline say
"Not much to print today, can't find nothin' bad to say", because
Nobody robbed a liquor store on the lower part of town
Nobody O.D.'ed, nobody burned a single buildin' down
Nobody fired a shot in anger, nobody had to die in vain
We sure could use a little good news today
I'll come home this evenin'
I'll bet that the news will be the same
Somebody takes a hostage, somebody steals a plane
How I wanna hear the anchor man talk about a county fair
And how we cleaned up the air, how everybody learned to care
Whoa, tell me
Nobody was assassinated in the whole Third World today
And in the streets of Ireland, all the children had to do was
play
And everybody loves everybody in the good old USA
We sure could use a little good news today
Nobody robbed a liquor store on the lower part of town
Nobody O.D.'ed, nobody burned a single buildin' down
[FADE]
Nobody fired a shot in anger, nobody had to die in vain
We sure could use a little good news today

I've mulled it over for a few moments, and I'm having difficulty understanding what "evil purposes" Bearmom is referring to. First thoughts run to child pornography - I suppose they could superimpose the head onto another body, and of course I prefer that it wouldn't be done, but neither Sam or I would ever know about it. Can someone give me more insight? I apologize for derailing this thread - but curiosity has gotten the better of me.
Zoomin, pending the outcome of explanations, I give my tentative permission - and I'm honored that you asked.

Hi Rosie!
(my apologies in advance for further derailment)
There are all kinds of wacko's out in CyberSpace!
I don't have any PICs on my homepage or me page. No reason for it, though!

well, since no one seems to be able to come up with any Gloomy examples that children's pics are subjects of evil-doings, I gladly give the HopefulZoomin permission to use mine in her auction(s).
Notice how I got this thread back on track? Dang, I’m good.

I thought I had posted to this thread, but I guess I just intended to.
Rosie, I love your picture! Thanks for sharing with us. I think postcards would be a terrific idea. If you have a color printer you can print your own a lot cheaper than going commercial (unless you are talking thousands). You can either print them on card stock or print them on photo paper stock and use the self-adhesive Postcard backs.

Thanks, Rosie!
I love that little cutie magootie!
BTW, Office Depot has magnet backings made for business cards ~ those would make the cutest gift for your loved ones!
