Well that is a mature response. Ignore those you disagree with. Like a child who closes his eyes and thinks you are gone.

If we are trying to bomb bin Laden out of his hole, that will never happen.
I don't think we care if we bomb him out of it, or bury him in it. Either way works.
There are "bin Ladens" in 60 countries, including Germany and France. Are we going to bomb every country that may harbor a terrorist?
Germany and France have police that actually will arrest people for crimes against the USA.
Maybe you can explain it to me.
I'm trying too.

Meya, "Direct" is my middle name. Do you have a question for me.
I'll answer it as well as I can within the community guidelines, of course.

Shoshanah,
If you only look for the bad in people, that is all you will see. If you wish to talk about me, please at least have the courtesy to take it to email.

Just got home from a day away from radio and TV and got the news. It's not really a surprise--the government has said from within minutes of the terrorist attacks on the US that we *would* go after the perpetrators.
I think they're going about it the right way--overthrow of the Taliban & all-out war on bin Ladin, while at the same time sending in humanitarian aid to the Afghanis.
Yes, it is sad that innocents are going to be killed or injured in the midst of all this. But that's the way of war. What I can't understand is the viewpoint of some that we should basically do *nothing* and just suck up the damage, death and pain to our own citizens. Do I want war? No. But it is a fact that sometimes it is necessary. This is one of those times.

Really? I hadn't seen the recruitment videos for Terrorism 101 in those countries. Are you saying there are also campuses (terrorist training camps) in Germany and France? Why are the French and Germans arresting suspected terrorist and working with the US as part of the coalition against countries that give terrorists safe harbor?

At least I am happy to see that I am not the only person in America to question where in the "H" was Intelligence when it was needed, particularly in the past 15 years. Just saw the McLaughlin interview about this subject. He was really upset with FBI, CIA and the whole system for their total lack of preventive measures, while all along, various attacks were continuing, in various degrees. Hmmm! Wonder if that makes him non-patriotic for daring to question his Government...

Truth be told, there very well may be. There where right here in the USA (in florida...), BUT they are not sanctioned or approved by the respective governments, and as soon as they come to light, the pupils and instructors are rounded up.

It would seem that, were there NO terrorist suspects in other countries, there should be no need to arrest them...Logic 101...

Read my comment again. I said that there were terrorists in 60 countries including France and Germany and in fact, in the United States of America.
I did not say that these countries were not cooperating with the US!!!

dman...Perhaps you did not watch the show I refer to. The two people interviewed said that the greatest flaw, which got us into this mess, was that although many (spy) reports were sent to the US for review, most were NEVER READ nor acted upon....
So, in a nut shell, we spent all that moola recruiting spys in many countries, paid them, paid our people, and...threw away their work...

Patriotism is alive and well in my house:
I just went upstairs and my two daughters and my niece were in the bathtub, splashing away and discussing the meaning of The Pledge of Allegiance.
An absolutely wonderful conversation!
Now ... does anyone have a mop?

I know they are up late, but, things aren't quite normal around here right now.

Still where? The USA? France and Germany? There are probably still some loose, but not because the governments in these countries just won't try to do something about it.
