There's something to be said for the person who can go to a website and navigate the entire thing without ever needing any help, and it's a trait that is to be commended.
Unfortunately there are many more people who do need support from time to time, and a good auction site has a support staff able to give them the answers they need when they need them.
I've also noticed that some sites are much easier to get around in and find answers on my own than in other sites. Not everyone's brain works exactly the same way so one person might design a website that works excellently for one group of people but not for others. Again, that's where support needs to come in and lend a helping hand.
(There's absolutely nothing like trying to navigate around a site for 30 minutes trying to find an answer to a simple question, then giving up, e-mailing or posting to a message board and waiting two or three days for a reply, LOL.)

I guess that NO support would be fine if you never had NPB's where you needed to get a refund for FVF's. Never had an unjustified feedback problem. Never had downtimes in important areas of the site etc. Would be a great site - let me know if anyone ever finds that site.

Wallypog and Opals4u - both of you were on Epier during part of the time I was although, apparently, both of you have left there. I didn't mention in my long post that there were many problems with support early in Epier's existence (and there is still very little support at present), but, when I said what I said, I was talking about the present when most of the questions that needed answers on Epier have been answered or aren't all that important to get answered at this time.
Since the FVFs started, I haven't had any NPBs (in fact only had two since 1/01 and both were out of the country), so no problem there either.
They have finally instituted PayMadeEasy which I won't be using but may be a step in the right direction for Epier and its members. I believe it is to be a small-time Paypal and should add to Epier's kitty.

My Site ? is very friendly.
The question is who cares? The name of the game is making sales, friendly is a very distant 4th. Friendly does not pay bills, sales do.

They have no listing fees currently and it has been in the top 3 user friendly public online auction sites.. and the new options, solidify it. It is Rock solid and worth your effort to list some items there, use their saved auctions-bulk onsite lister, teriffic.
Ease of use and at a very healthy speed will prove to see this site quickly increase the auction numbers.

Just my opinion, but offering second categories for free is not just out of the goodness of their hearts. There is a method to their madness! This makes their site appear to have double the listing than they actually have because the item is counted in each category as another item. It will increase each category number of items by (1).
Then they can say they have X number of listings, when in fact they only have half that number. Looks good for them because buyers want a site where there are lots of items to choose from - but SURPRISE!!

opals4u,
The wording from the most recent newsletter is posted below:
"Coming Soon!
- Ability to list in a 2nd category at no additional charge. Listing in a 2nd
category will NOT affect the total auction listings on the home page. Only
the category auction numbers will be increased."
I guess sellyouritem has been listening to what auction users have to say about double dipping on the numbers.
