Oxford, apparently that does not hold true at all sites, especially Bidville. There is a special books storefront seller has a notation on all 299,600+ auctions that says that all sales are subject to prior sale. It's right there at the bottom next to the all items have a s/h of $6 for Priority Mail.

MTA...watching duplicate listings on two sites could certainly work, but it's not reccommeded-too easy to get yourself in a bind. A better plan might be to import your unsucessful closed auctions and see how they do.

Bids... the bv book storefront you speak of was a sweetheart deal for bookconsignments, a listing service. (there has been a lot of discussion on this guy on the amazon boards)
Every "auction" is a first bid wins and although the way it's set up, it puts regulars auctioneers at a disadvantage, they are basically a fixed price store at a site that doesn't offer a storefront type setup.

Ox...Hi!

Once again Rob has given good advice. I totally agree with importing auctions rather than duplicating.

Agree that duplicate listings are not a good idea... ran into some problems on some of the 3rd-tier sites. Bid on and won a few auctions, only to find that the items had long since been sold elsewhere... auctions were auto-relists and the seller didn't delete the "duplicate" listings on the other sites.

So far, all of my Carnaby purchases have been very smooth with reputable sellers. Not so for my experiences at BidBay, Bidville, 321gone!, ReverseAuction, and ehammer... no wonder the last three are out-of-business!

WE MAKE CUSTOM DOLL DRESSES SO WE CAN LIST AND MAKE AS MANY AS WE NEED. I HAVE RUN 12-17 AUCTIONS FOR THE PAST 3 WEEKS ON CARNABY. THANK GOD IT'S FREE TO LIST BECAUSE I HAVE NOT SOLD EVEN ONE ITEM. SO I TRIED IT AND AM NOT IMPRESSED.

You have doll clothes listed at Carnaby? I'm always looking for doll clothes for the little girls in our big family. Thanks for the hint. I'm off to look at your stuff now.

You have some really cute doll dresses listed. Your prices are awesome. Do your regular customers know where you are listing?

I'm usually on the look out for Barbie doll clothes, homemade.

YES I'VE MADE A POINT OF LETTING EVERYONE KNOW THE SITES I'M SELLING ON. I HAVE BEEN PUSHING CARNABY AND EPIER AS ALTERNATIVE SITES. IT HAS NOT DONE ME ANY GOOD. I HAVE ABOUT 3000 HOMEMADE BARBIE DRESSES. I STARTED OUT SELLING BARBIE CLOTHES. I WAS SPENDING MORE LISTING THEM THEN I MADE SELLING THEM SO I QUIT SELLING BARBIE. MY ATTIC IS FULL OF HER CLOTHES....
