Any archers in the crowd, on site or lurking? If so and fancy to talk the talk, although you may not have (yet) walked the long walk, jump in.

Many tips and superb lies.

Hey Sarge I did have the ocassion to take down a huge Montana Grizzly using a bow and arrow one evening just last month. Course the bear was drunk, so I may have just dreamed it.

Sorry, that was the best I could come up with and btw, it does fall under the superb lie category. In case you had any doubts.

Hey Sarge,

Only thin I know is that William Tell shot an apple off of his son's head with one of those things. Or was it the other way around? I need to go to bed. It's been a rough couple of days.

Calamity Tonight I can't blame my idiocy on cheap wine - just depleted, overtired brain cells. I'll bet if you check around you might find a nice bottle of Barry(ready to share)Barris fine Whiskey.

KellyI think we're ruining the sarges thread - but that was too funny... You had one! LMAO!

Go for it. I am not that sensitive. You will not find me in the MC....like some I know.

This track has many spurs. Feel free to throw any switch you want.

Excuse me, I misunderstood. I thought you were being serious; that you knew archers possess long shafts.

Silent movie stars, Kel. That's Clara Bow. Sheeesh.

Mike, Are you an archer? I've done quite a bit of it.
If you're into recurves and not contraptions, see my auctions now. As fine a target recurve as I've seen.

A long shaft about the width of a pencil, make a fine projectile. Yes.

krs, Is she not dead and buried?

Gnight y'all

Thanks for the invite Sarge but I can see this thread is taking a turn for the serious. The little women folk will slink off now so the manly men can discuss the lengths of their shafts. Seems we've been doing that for centuries now.

Besides I'm all out of steam! G'night all!

I shot recurves for many moons. Now use compounds mostly, but do collect "woodies."

Will take a look at your equipment.

LOL SgtMike I went to sleep too soon last night it seems.

Your arrow seems to have hit the target BTW.

Is it safe for me to come out now to play?
could be

I still have a Red Wing Hunter, a Bear Kodiak Magnum, a Ben Pearson Golden Knight, and a couple quivers full of old arrows. Gave up bowhunting a while ago. Used to target shoot when I was a kid. The crowd that came into the sport with the advent of the compounds turned me off.

We need to talk about those bows.

Also, you gotta deep 6 your user ID, in certain Chinese dialects, "X" is pronounced as "H" and I can't get around it.

The Chinese people I knew pronounce X as "Sh" which would make it Shardon, slightly more acceptable.

I always read it as "Zardon" like a sci-fi character.
