The teribly uninformed would say,"...the reality is groups like the ACLU and the other bleeding heart groups would be in there fighting for their humane "

The ACLU has also defended the rights of conservatives. They are not "bleeding hearts" , they believe in equal rights for everyone.
Just because neocons like linduh don't believe in equal rights doesn't make the ACLU wrong.

Linda

You can't tell when I'm fanasizing and when I'm not, can you? I mentioned my granddaughter earlier. Life, in prison, of course is the only answer outside of the death penalty. Still, an island somewhere where they never have a chance to hurt another child. . .and where they would also know what suffering is.

You mentioned murdering an adult. An adult at least has a chance. There's a difference between sexually assualting then murdering a 5 year old and murdering an adult. Sorry, but that's how I feel about it. Think of that child's final moments of life. Quick and painless for them? Hardly. As a parent, I could handle losing an adult child far better than losing a young child. I at least would know that I kept that adult child safe into adulthood. The guilt over not keeping a small child safe would be tremendous.

Let's just agree to disagree. I'm not about to argue with you.

LOL - There you go AGAIN.....jumping to false assumptions...just cause Linda said something.

Obviously, cheryl, you missed my previous statement, "Plus while we can 'dream' of what we might like to see happen to them....and understandably.....

We're WEREN'T in disagreement as you state. It's just the way you choose to view everything I say.

Cheryl, do you watch survivor or lost? I think crowfart has me confused with your posts?

Linda, that fact is, those child molesters are human. Constitutionally and under the law, they must be afforded the same treatment through the criminal justice system as everyone else. Is that what you meant by 'dreaming'?

I dont think its too far off where if they parole them, then putting a permanent gps-type device on them for this type of crime. I wonder if even the ACLU would be against that?
But the way the current criminal law and punishment system is set up, it's probably unconstitutional without some type of amendment.

I believe in the Death penalty..across the board. I'll even volunteer to chop their weenies off before hand.. How much does it pay?

dblfugger - Linda, that fact is, those child molesters are human.

They're not in MY book. They're sub-human....a menace/threat to decent humans, who are unable to control their sexual behaviors and should be permanently removed from our society...as I've said before.

Constitutionally and under the law, they must be afforded the same treatment through the criminal justice system as everyone else.

They ARE afforded these rights....and when released they repeat their destruction of more lives. I didn't say they don't have rights...nor that those rights should be eliminated. They just should be placed in a situation where they cannot repeat their crimes against children.

Is that what you meant by 'dreaming'?

No...I used that word for those who stated they'd like to see things happen that would NEVER be allowed to happen BECAUSE of our laws, ie: cutting off their willies, putting them on an island.

dblfugger - Maybe you confused me with cheryl's statement on the previous page?

When she said:

"Constitutional rights should not apply to these people. They lost them when they first grabbed the child. Appeals? I don't think so. Did he hear the appeals of the child begging for her life? No? Well, we won't hear yours.

If so...that's another statement I felt fell into the 'dreaming' catagory.

Linda, I agree, the sick perverted taking of a child is sub-human. But the problem with classifying them as not human, and the other stuff Cheryl posted is that slippery slope where it starts to apply to everything else when we feel it necessary to do so.

Are drunk-drivers sub-human, jay-walkers (if it causes an accident with children)...murderers sub-human...etc., etc?

We could say yes, but then we'd have to have a different court system for sub-humans and humans, and who decides on what criteria you get put into one category or another?

LOL! Can you tell I'm sorely lacking in the sleep department? Tiffany spent the night last night. Man can that girl snore. . .and kick. . .and move about! I think I may have slept a total of two hours. Take that into consideration plus the fact that I took a tumble down the basement stairs yesterday where I cut my tail bone, bruised the bottom of my foot and lower back and scraped skin from my forearm and then proceeded cut my leg shaving (TWICE) and bit the inside of my mouth so hard it bled when Ken snuck up on me and scared the dickens out of me. .get where I'm going. LOL! That was all in the course of one day. Needless to say, I'm moving gingerly today.

I don't consider these people human at all. I don't consider cold blooded killers human either.

dbl

There's a difference between daydreaming about what you'd like to have happen and what you know rightfully should happen. Don't confuse my dreaming with what I consider reality. The 1960's didn't do me in that much.

There was a time in this country when going to prison meant being sentenced to some really hard time with very little of the luxuries of life like warm food, hot showers, books, tv, yard time etc. At one time, yard time meant breaking rocks or chopping wood and they didn't have any weight lifting yards either or sports equipment. There was a time when all inmates were more or less treated equally and they did all the time they were sentenced to. There was no time off for good behaviour. Good behaviour meant that you didn't spend a day in the hole.

Then the bleeding heart liberals came along and said, hey these inmates have rights and they should be rehabilitated rather than just incarcerated. Liberal law makers passed laws allowing for more and more luxuries for inmates, court cases were fought and Liberal judges ruled in favor of the legally convicted. Now inmates do their time or part of their time, get out and recommit more crimes.

When life in prison got better, the amount of time should have been increased but it wasn't. It was descreased with good time for time off their sentences. Now the Libera;s scream and cry, #*!@ and complain, moan and groan that something has to be done to stop the growing crime rates. Well they can start by recinding those bogus laws that made life easier for the legally convicted and change their double standard attitudes when it comes to who they believe should recieve harsher treatment and who shouldn't, rather than just treating everyone equally.

If it were me and I had a choice between imprisonment or a deserted island, i'd take the deserted island but then i've had survival training and I would fare just fine. I'd be like Tom Hanks in Castaway but I wouldn't name a soccer ball Wilson. I'd name it Friday.

dblfugger - What cheryl said above is what I tried to convey. We were just 'reacting' with our DEEP feelings/thoughts about these monsters who abuse our children.

We don't need a separate system for humans and sub-humans. They'd all have the same 'Constitutional rights' during their trial. IF found guilty...we've all mentioned what we'd LIKE to see done to them.....our 'dream'.

And just for the record...my 'dream' would be like bear's. A quick shot would take care of the problem once and for all. As it would have been done in our history when such abuse was dealt with in a different way. Before the system got to be so 'PC' and before we started protecting the preditors more than we did their victims.

Cheryl - Sorry to hear about all your misfortunes...we've all have our 'days'. No problem.

LOL...not sure if you'd like me to call them penis' or what? Everyone has a different name they give them, right?

But you don't need to worry yourself...maggie can't really get the job of cutting them off. She was just 'dreaming' too.

yellowstone - Very well stated and exactly the problem imo.

I can't remember the whole joke, so won't even try to repeat it but I remember laughing so hard when reading it.
Same 'one eyed' 'monster' and how he was acting at some bar. Cracked me up.

Cheryl, that's just the way I feel. It's one step worse than any other crime imo. I know they're sick and all, but who isn't that rapes and murders?

I love the island theme! Give them all a year's supply of Cheetos and water and see what happens.

kraft- They can have Cheetos, but NO water!

I think everyone here is aware of my opinion when it comes to sexual abuse of children, multiply that by 10 when the children are murdered afterward.

These "people" can NOT be rehabilitated. It is a TOTAL WASTE of OUR tax dollars and our time to even try.
