This bidder looks pretty special... five negs and even some of his positives have a negative slant to them. And he's selling lots of high-ticket items with bids on almost all of them!

Aside from the fact that this rocket scientist thought he'd be receiving a car instead of a postcard , doesn't anyone check feedback of the sellers they buy from? I'd never in a million years bid on his stuff.

Edited to add: he has left feedback for only three of his transactions, and they were all negatives!

UPDATE!!!!! Here is the latest e-mail...

HI
WATT IS THE COMMISSION ON $5.50 SALE
PLEASE BELIEVE ME IM NOT LOOKING FOR TROUBLE
I WOULD LIKE TO RESOLVE THIS THING VERY QUICKLY
IT WAS A MISTAKE ON MY PART I WAS LOOKING TO SEE A PRICE FOR THE CAR
IM A 50 YEAR MAN &NOT LOOKING FOR POST CARD @MY AGE
THAK YOU SIR.

My response.....

Right now, I am out $5.50 for the bid on the postcard (you outbid someone else, so I lost the sale to them),a listing fee of 25 cents,(I will have to relist the item for another sale) and a commission of 28 cents..That is a total $6.03 I am out right now.

I have a hard time believing that a fifty year old man can miss the word POSTCARD in the title of the auction, and at least TWICE in the body of the auction, plus a shipping fee of 50 cents for a CAR..c'mon!
I have checked your feedback on eBay, and it appears you have a rather checkered past.
If I do not recieve payment for this card, I will turn your name into eBay, and ask that you be suspended.
Keith

This is the MOST trouble I have ever had with a bidder, but now that I am done bein PO'd, I figure it won't hurt to mess with him a little.

Keith, Thank you for the update. You are absolutely right to not let this guy off the hook. However have you considered that there is a strong possibility that this person is a crackpot and just won't get it? Crackpots can be very unpredictable. Think about it, he thought he was buying a car for under $10.00, (and a classic red T bird at that!). Your logic and rational thinking could be lost on him. But I do admire you for standing your ground. I would try to lose this can of worms pronto.

He is more than a crackpot.

Since he is also a seller, I check his completed auctions.

This guy shills . . .

I agree with magazineguy. The customer is always right. Tell them you will sell them the car for $5.50 but the shipping and handling will be $42,350.

RR - You might want to check out my thread on people with limiting disabilities if you had an act of congress in a gull wing. I don't recall a paper about someone having a hand brake surgically removed.

Mybiddness: we are both having the same kind of month.
I had one buyer email me four times telling me that they needed my address. Each time I have sent it and the next day, there we go again, another e-mail.
Now the address was on the first email they replied to so there really is no exscuse.
They used the reply function with out deleting my initial email everytime so every request for my address had my address on the bottom.Too funny.
Then I had two buyers asking me if I had recieved thier checks. Both for auctions over a month old. Neither one had replied to my three emails so I was about ready to relist the items. Both promised to send "another" check. Yea, I'll bet!
Then I had one lady who bought a painting off me send me an angry email demanding her book.
She was very apoligetic when I pointed out that she had not ,in fact, bought a book from me. She has had the painting for two weeks but had confused me with another seller.
I had never had a month this crazy.

Hello everyone,

It has just been brought to my attention that there is sufficient information in this thread to identify the buyer. That being the case, I'm going to have to lock this one up until the buyer has been invited to join the discussion per the CGs.

The thread will be reopened 24 hours after the buyer has been invited, or as soon as he indicates he is willing to participate whichever comes first.
