LOL @ dbl and classic....you two make a great comedy act.

Yes, dbl, true friends do know [see] and accept the other's faults...but it doesn't mean they don't point them out to them when seen in each other. That's honesty ...calling them on something/anything when you think they're all off base....and them to you, of course.

I agree Linda. Here its all crap. But in RL, certain people dont get to think they are living inside John Malcovich's head or something with me. And I dont think cf and I have that same understanding. Nor, like you do, dp I appreciate others thinking they know me or what my motives are or judging me they way they judge who they do know. and if they do, they will get a mouthful back.::shrug::

bump to say goodnight and add: in RL I am most always casually friendly, but somewhat reserved when it comes to friends. At least I am not emotionally frigid, or afraid to give my opinion most times.
I started getting friendly with this woman and I told my husb somethings she said about other people and you know what he said to me? "Thats a vindictive, confusion loving woman, you better stay away from her." I was like nah...you dont know what youre talking about. He never met the woman, but turns out he was very very right.

"edit to add: and if that doesnt work I'll just have to send a jombie up yer breathalizer kazzoo"
Im not sure EXACTLY what that means-but being that we're such good friends,I can only assume your looking out for classics welfare.

Baseball season has started, but they have it all wrong.3 strikes and you're out,4 balls you walk.I can tell you right now a man with 4 balls could not possibly walk
A stranger would have no idea how you'd react to hearing the blunt truth. At least that's how it is with strangers around here. Most people around here walk around with their defenses up. You have to! You're liable to get socked if you make the wrong comment to the wrong person. Besides, with concealed weapons being legal who wants to take the chance?

dbl- i was roommates with the guy for about 6 months. he was the strangest person i had ever met. he looked like a cross between Jerry Seinfeld, Potsie (Happy Days, and Ben Stiller. this is the guy that bad jewish stereotypes were created from.
he once asked me to watch his pet turtle over the weekend. so i did. some wierd thing was floating in the tutles dish so i used a tissue to pick it out and forgot to throw it out. I left it next to the aquarium while i fed the stupid critter. he came back the next day and freaked out about it, bought a lock for his bedroom door, and acted like he didn't trust me ever again. about a month after that, he came into my room and asked me where his lighter was. i had no clue. he went to take a shower, and when he went into his room he found his lighter in a drawer. an hour or so later he was accusing me of stealing his lighter and then placing it back in his drawer while showering. hmmm... 1)i wouldn't borrow something without asking, 2) i already knew the guy was pathetic. 3) i had my own stash of lighters. the guy was a joke, and hence i always felt the blunt jab at her was appropriate.

rusty...oh, I thought you were roomates with the girl? --I dont know if that was appropriate, but that depends on where your friendship was at, imo. Personally to reference where i get my ^&$^& from, and get away unscathed - well, theres very few people I would respect for that on a 'friendship' level. edit to add: and the guy did sound like a jerk.
