That's the problem here....
No, the problem here is you dont like it when somebody else believes as adamantly as you do when it's an opposing opinion than yours. So much so that you come into the middle of a thread with an unprovoked attack.
You see, Cheryl, you all are so busy blaming Bush, you have no focus on the 'what is' right now. blah, blah, blah, lies of the administration..blah, blah...yeah, okay. But since its been started, what do we do now? Think forward instead of backward.
Oh and for the duplicitous one:
They are using are responses
So much for the grammar critic! Try "our."

Hilarious, same song, second verse.
I said over a year ago that I could be gone for a year and the same people would be here saying the same thing. Well, here I am one year later and no one has changed anyone's mind. Everyone is just a year older, fatter, more wrinkled, balder, and just as set in their opinion as always. This board is pure entertainment and that's it. Why doesn't everyone take a break for a year, breath deeply, and smell what roses that are left. You will feel a lot better. Bye for another year.

fiset - I'm wondering where the terrorists who planted the bombs rate on this "sickened" scale.
Notice all the answers you received. Nope....that's something we rarely see on these threads. The ultra-liberals here blame the right...they blame the President...they blame everyone EXCEPT those who are killing innocent people.
They will make every excuse in the book for THEIR actions....blame their own country...it's leaders...etc. It's all OUR fault in their minds.
And imo, this is exactly why most American's see the Republican party as the one who IS willing to defend this Nation and the party that almost always is the one most American's prefer to have in office during times like these. Whereas the democratic party is seen as the stronger one on social issues but rarely on defense.
History HAS repeated itself and I believe will do so again in 2008 UNLESS American's can start seeing a willingness on the part of the democratic party to stand up to our enemies rather than to just ignore them and pretend they're going to go away.

EXACTLY right.....dbl....and I've said the same thing myself over and over. That's EXACTLY cheryl's problem and that of others that just can't handle opposing views of others....they then 'get down and dirty' and begin lowering themselves so that their true nature is exposed.
That's the problem here....
"No, the problem here is you dont like it when somebody else believes as adamantly as you do when it's an opposing opinion than yours. So much so that you come into the middle of a thread with an unprovoked attack."

THEN cheryl tries to rationalize her actions by taking a statement I made to rusty....NO ONE ELSE and she proceeds to personal it to herself. She continues along in her ranting to mis-quote what I really said, accuse me of saying something I didn't say...and then tries to make peepa's statement something other than it was.
gotta admit that's a GREAT way to twist things just enough to give herself an opening to VENT her hatred in public.

Hi etexbill
I said over a year ago that I could be gone for a year
Years travel by faster in some lives than others. Your year went by in about double speed. I remember that you were posting here in about November or December because I wished you a happy holiday season.

Thanks, kiara. That was a fast year then. Well 7 or 8 months anyway. Still the same stuff but that's what makes it fun, I guess. Guess we can all be thankful that we can agree to disagree. Bill

London bombings called work of Al Qaida's new generation
SPECIAL TO WORLD TRIBUNE.COM Friday, July 8, 2005
LONDON — A series of blasts that rocked the British capital was believed to have been carried out by a new Al Qaida network based in Western Europe and trained in such places as Afghanistan, Bosnia and Iraq.
An organization called "The Secret Organization of Al Qaida in Europe" claimed responsibility for the blasts, in which 700 people were injured.
Western intelligence sources said the group appeared to represent a new generation of Al Qaida operatives aided by at least two major organizations based in Algeria and Iraq. They said the attacks were meant to disrupt the G8 summit in Scotland.

I posted previously on the one way to stop all this craziness.
There was a nation that was terrorizing, tortuing, raping, killing, and putting thousands of Americans in terrible concentration camps (including my uncle).
On August 6 and 9th, 1945 we turned this nation's thinking and entire culture completely around without losing a single American life. This nation placed in it's new constitution the following:
"Article 9. Aspiring sincerely to an international peace based on justice and order, the Japanese people forever renounce war as a sovereign right of the nation and the threat or use of force as a mean of settling international disputes.
(2) In order to accomplish the aim of the preceding paragraph, land, sea, and air forces, as well as other war potential, will never be maintained. The right of belligerency of the state will not be recognized."
From a warlike, terrorizing nation to one that will allow no military according to its constitution.
How did we do this?? With two small nuclear devices. Terrorists understand only force. Terrorists understand only "an eye for an eye". We stood up for ourself and said "no more". It worked.
Now, let's hear it from the bleeding hearts.
posted on July 8, 2005 07:56:51 PM new
Wherever we know that terrorism is being based and funded. Why not do it this way. Hey, in 72 hours we are going to drop 2 or 3 small nuclear devices. We haven't decided where yet, we may just draw lots.
"What's that you say, but where will we go to be safe, how can we save our women and children?"
Our answer: Good question, that's the way innocent people of the world are feeling now. Doesn't feel so good does it?
posted on July 8, 2005 08:03:57 PM new
We are there already. We just are not "getting them".
I said "let's hear it from the bleeding hearts". I see one has spoken. Glad you weren't in Harry Truman's shoes in 1945. We would all be speaking Japanese now.

It's a different situation and I think Truman was smart enough that if he were alive he would've realized that.
I'm a bleeding heart because I don't believe in willy-nilly bomb dropping ??
When they find the terrorist hide out in the U.S. how many Americans are you willing to slaughter to get them?

I don't believe in willy-nilly crashing planes into skyscrapers, and willy-nilly bombing of subways and buses either and I don't see that stopping the way things are going.
Don't knock it till you've been on the opposite end. I've spent a lot of time in the London Underground system and on planes and I've had enough.

You gonna drop the biggy on Mecca? Medina?
WHERE EXACTLY?
OTOH: I see no reason to tolerate so-called religious leaders spewing murder & death exhortations from Mosques -- WHY AREN"T THESE DENS OF DEATH CLOSED IMMEDIATELY??

Hey Tom. I see you are still shouting and insulting, but that's just you. You try so hard to be so hip and with it, but you just can't quite cut it. But that's your problem.
There is one difference in me and others on the board. I don't waste my time with dueling words. No amount of my arguing and no amount of your or anyone else's arguing is going to change my opinion and thoughts, and I'm sure that yours in not going to change either. So why bother. Life is too short. I was away for 7 or 8 months and came back to see what was going on. I found the same old stuff from the same people. It's just too boring for me, so I'll say goodbye for another few months. Maybe, by that time things will have changed, and maybe the board and the world may be at peace, but I seriously doubt it.
