ROFLMHO....now THAT'S the peepa we all know....LOL.

I'd thought for a moment somebody had drugged him.

OUR SCREAMER has returned once again....and shows he's ANOTHER leftie who wants to shut people up. LOL

But they think this shows their tolerance and acceptance.....for some reason I have yet to figure out.

lol on your post too, piinthesky...that was very good.

Linda_K, BLAH,BLAH,BLAH,BLAH,BLAH. Yes!!!

Piinthesky, I have no idea what I ate but it was kind of good and my (much better half) is very happy. My meal looked like some kind of mush over rice with 2 side dishes of sauce that smelled funny LOL. When I was paying the bill I asked the owner if there was any particular reason his Restaurant was 100% VEGETARIAN? He said that's because his restaurant was so close to the Temple. I said oh, that's nice.

My better half squared me away on the way home, she said its about the purity of mind and body, again I said Oh, that's nice.

I did have a great drink called a "mango milk shake" and that's true not a play on words. Hey, mangotree if you can make a mango milk shake I'm coming to your house.

but ya got to remember the BUCK STOPS AT THE WHITE HOUSE

Its hard to argue with that in general terms but to me, its not that simple. I don't believe the White House (regardless of who occupys it) can solve these problems by itself. However, I do agree that this administration could be doing more than it has on this issue. For instance, you suggest:

Let Bush start with speeches about how much damage illegals are doing to America. His smart advisers can come up with stats about the harm done by illegals if wanted. Let Bush make cross country trips talking about how the illegals and open border problem.

All of that is fine with me. Even ultra conservatives like Bill O'Reily are calling for the president to shine more light on this issue.

Let Bush talk what percent of Mexico's economy the illegals make up by sending U.S. dollars back to Mexico.

Well, thats going to be a little difficult as I don't know how that amount can be accurately tracked.

Let Bush talk about how dangerous traveling to Mexico can be to American tourist

Don't agree here. Traveling anywhere can be dangerous and I don't think singling out Mexico does much to help this situation.

But it seems, peepa, that we agree more than disagree on many of the issues relating to the border.

Oh dear, Gutless and Smithsonian crying out for attention for days on end now from queen dbl'r!! Well then, on your knees and I'll egnite you today!

Seems to me if you actually had any of that common sense jargon you slop around so often, you'd be jealous of ANYBODY who lived a better life besides 16 hours a day of movies, and 540 hours of television programming, and 95 hours a day of internet surfing! Who is your friend that you saw do this or that? It was probably some fictional character you saw in a movie, that in your mind has now become 'your friend' because you know them by way of film.

How sad for you to live your whole young life surreptitiously through tv film and the internet! Youre an east coaster, a west coaster, a southerner because your grandfather came from there - soon to be returning from Mexico a full-fledged Mexican - even -for cripes sake! Youre so empty you dont know what the hell you really are.

Profe, I told it as it happened. Is it because this is a person of Hispanic origin that's got your feathers all in a ruffle, Pendejo?

No, vavoso, it's not. It's just highly unlikely that Vicente Fox would whisper in Spanish to someone who he would have a reason to believe might not speak Spanish, given that he speaks excellent English. Not a cultural issue at all. I just happen to think your story's a bunch of bull, that's all.

You greencard

Oh wait, maybe you meant greencard as a verb, rather than a noun.

I greencard
You greencard
he, she, it greencards
We, they greencard

Today, I greencard
Tomorrow, I will greencard
Yesterday, I greencarded.

Is that it?

If it is, I don't greencard, sorry.

I expect everyone here knows what a green card is...an ID issued by the INS to legal resident aliens. Beats me why you would call me one though. Can you explain yourself a bit better please? Thanks!

I'd be interested in knowing if you were born in the US or Mexico, profe.

edited to say:
I've always taken what you've said in the past to imply you were born on the land that's been in your family, here, for generations.

And that because either your father or mother was a Mexican citizen, you automatically??? were given dual citizenship.

Have I been incorrect in believing that to be true?

This ranch is currently part of the US. Before the Gadsden Purchase and the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, it was part of Mexico. Before there was a Mexico, it was granted to my family by Spain. We made peace with the local indians here after Spain gave us tenancy. Real tenancy, in my opinion, was granted to us by the indigenous inhabitants of the area.We have endured three governments. I am a Mexican Citizen because my parents were. I am a US citizen because my parents were, and because I was born on this ranch, which, as I said, is currently within the boundaries of the United States. I consider myself first and foremost a citizen of my land, and secondarily a citizen of whatever country happens to overlap it. As you might imagine, my perspective on citizenship is somewhat different from the average American, who stays in one place about 5-10 years, and has no real understanding of the connection between people and the land that nurtures them.

I hope this answers your questions.

profe - Thanks for your explanation on your families history and the history of your land.

But I have one last question. You said:

...."and because I was born on this ranch, which, as I said, is currently within the boundaries of the United States."

So I take it that when you were born the land you live on was THEN within the boundaries of the US?

Good grief, I feel old at the end of the week, but not that old!! Sure, it has been since the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo of 1848, and the Gadsden Purchase of 1852.

At this point, I'm wondering if you're looking to cast some sort of aspersions on my citizenship, Linda. Somehow I'm "less" a citizen than anyone else. I hope not, 'cause it won't fly. I haven't asked, nor am I interested in hearing you justify your own claim to being an American, if you say you are, I accept that...

Better watch out, profe, next she'll want your fingerprints, iris scan, copy of your birth certificate and a photo of your mother giving birth to you with an American flag in the background

(or to the INS she will happily go)

And you expect me to engage in conversation with you when in one post you act like you don't know what i'm talking about. While in another post you go on to explain what it was that i was talking about but only after I exposed your lie by stating that i was possitive that you did know??

NoProofe51, you're just going to start hiding behind some sort an i don't know what you're talking about smokescreen and playing your little games, so what's the point?

why don't you try to explain to everyone what 'Pendejo' means (a word you've used before to describe yourself), also 'vavoso', 'verguita' and don't forget the word 'maricon". Here now, let me help you with Besame La Rosca, it's the same as KMA.

I sincerely don't know what you're talking about. I'll ask again, why would you call me a greencard?

As far as the insults go, you called me pendejo, an old insult which lots of non-spanish speakers know. Originally, it referred to pubic hair. "Besame la rosca", I've never heard, but if you tell me it's the same as KMA, I'll accept that you may have heard it somewhere and don't know how to spell it. I know it as "Besa mi culo". "Verguita", referred to the size of your male member, assuming you have one at all, and "vavoso" refers to your profound stupidity. I'd have guessed you'd know those, since you seem ready to use Spanish insults.

I'm not hiding behind anything, burro. I want to know why you called me a greencard. Since you choose not to answer the question, I can only assume that it's your idea of some sort of insult, probably a cultural one. That you seem to think that foreign workers who are in this country legally, in other words, in posession of green cards, are somehow inferior to you, I'd say that makes you a bigot at the very least.

Here, let me use an insult you may be more familiar with:

Nighty night, dickhead.

I forgot maricón, a word that you attempted to use on me, only you didn't spell it right. It means "fag"...and unless you've got a link to prove it, I've never used the word pendejo to describe myself.

NoProofe51, you're just going to start hiding behind some sort an i don't know what you're talking about smokescreen and playing your little games, so what's the point?

The point is, you don't or can't answer the question, because it will give away your bigotry. Once again, buena noches, puneta.

If you only knew the truth.

Calling you a greencard was a jab, an insult at your legal status, not your ethnicity but as to your residency here in the US, which i believe to be that you are here illegally because your greencard has expired or about to. You can say otherwise but I would then say to you it's BS. But hey, that's all just my opinion with no bigotry intended. Now go and be La Llorona about that, ok.

In case anyone wants to know 'La Llorna' is a crying old woman.

Chingaso enough for ya?
