Powerhouse:
The whole point in bringing up the users feedback was to illustrate his LACK of customer service skills. It had nothing to do with how long he's been an Ebay user.
As far as my newness to this board...who cares? The fact is, many people read these boards for a long time before they ever join or post anything. You're obviously one of those who feels being here longer and making more posts is some indication of skill or expertise. In actuality, it's more a sign of unproductiveness and a lack of activity in one's life.
Interesting logic you have.

The bidders should have to register a credit card when they place a bid. If they win the item, their card automatically gets charged and the funds go to the seller.
No more deadbeats to chase down.

Well how are you Stantman/CatHater? Long time no see. Thinking ahead and creating a new user ID before the old one gets moderated, now that's using your noggin.

Meya:
How much of your Ebay purchasing is subsidized by the American taxpayer?
Why don't you do something more productive with your life, rather than leaching off society.

Actually, I've never taken a dime of State or Federal money. We are a single income family that does quite nicely thank you.
You are rude.

Cathater, I think the fact that you bothered to bring feedback into this venue at all clearly indicates who is actually trying to self-grandise their posts, particularily when you stated that he "only" has xxx amount of feedback.
Everyone has their own comfort threshold when it comes to reviewing feedback and I'd have to say the -16 to 500+ isn't too bad in my book, but then again it's a purely personal outlook.
Your newness to the AW board has absolutely NO bearing on the value of your input, IMHO, but that was exactly the point I was trying to illustrate with my purposely rediculous statement based upon my understanding of your intent on bringing feedback in this discussion. That statement was to gauge how you like people using numbers to validate their opinion, especially when the numbers are of absouletly no value in the discussion.
I still welcome you to the boards and hope to see more constructive input from you in the future, but now can see how easily the broad brush you use to generalise people here can be turned against you.
(PS - perhaps my lack of a high number of posts after having been here so long is more of an indicator that I have a productive 'real' life that keeps me busy? Hmmmm?)
Best wishes.

CatHater ya know I had my email on this, and read, before you edited that out.
So before you get booted. What was that statement about?
I've never read such rude comments.
This thread says Your suggestion Encouraged, and your just encouraging some sort of flame war and your not getting it are you?
You cut into someones fb and what kind of negs they had, why don't you show us yours?
That could ruin someone what your doing.
Meya how did you know it was stantman?

Oops! Guess I'll have to wait awhile to see if Cathater becomes a productive member now.

Maybe we should ask for a CC on file to register a new ID here at AW. .
Can hardly wait for the next reincarnation.

I think AW posters should be given an IQ test and a “plays well with other children” test prior to letting them post.
That should cut down on this crap.

I would never have been able to join here. I have a sweatshirt that warns "Does not play well with others. Do ya suppose they would cover me under a grandfather (granny) clause?
