Colin, how does the Ross board make his money, are theRE fees, or is it just advertising revenues?

therossshow is free at the present. I believe you can donate.
I just found a new conservative board.
Looks like a good bunch.
Great topics, good debate.
No migocrapfart and I haven't seen a limp wrist yet.

Wow Colin, you weren't kidding!!!
Those OTWA guys are like deranged drooling psychotic cannibals with hemorrhoids. From my point of view, I'm making perfect sense, but they won't shut up long enough to listen to me. I'm not giving up yet, but I have better things to do than waste time.
Where is this nice Conservative board you spoke of?

"You mean they don't all agree with you and actually had the nerve to give their point of view also?"
Right! Wrong! Wait!
No, it's NOT that. People here have an opinion too, and I expect that people will disagree with me.
But those guys just seem... Rabid or something
Maybe it's the number of allies. Here, there are at least a few intelligent people who will usually agree with me, as well as some intelligent people who will disagree. Over there, it's like BOOM- you've been dropped alone into the looney bin or something.
I guess it'll take some time getting used to it.

Maybe too much intelligence all at one time?
And good points made by so many, whether you agree or not it does make you think. And compound that with them actually staying on topic........ whereas here you have time-out with the distraction and noise from the sidelines by those who are calling each other liars or accusing others of being gay or not believing in the right god, some sucking up so as not to get on the A-list and others tattling, etc.
Compared to here, posting over there must be overwhelming.

Dr. Don't give up.
What I've learner is twofold:
First,
Lots of AH's that will try to derail anything you post, they may even start posts to discredit you.
Secondly,
Post your statement anyway. They will read it and think. I've found a few that have come around to actually debate a subject. Even if they say they have you on ignore, they read your posts.
There are some intelligent people over there. Not many...but a few.

Colin, I would actually prefer if you would get the "rustygumbo" on your website a little larger. I'm a bit offended that I don't even have my name underlined. Can you do a blinking mpeg of my screenname? Really. How about putting me at the top of your list. You can crown me King of the A-List for 2006. That way, I know you really respect me. LOL.
Since I am clueless who Ron is, so you can just eliminate them from the list. They are not as important as I am for your A-List.
It's not who Colin chooses to love, but rather that he found someone willing to accept him for who he is...

Well - if having the willingness t osee both sides of an issue and make decisions on my stance without first checking to see what me declared party thinks makes me a "fence sitter" then I guess that's what I am. Personally I just thought of it as practicing independent thought. Apparently there is Kool-aid to be had on both sides.

Dbl - I don't know about fast - we are however resilient with VERY long lives. The Fenix (aka - Phoenix, Thunderbird or Bennu depending on the culture as its legend exists in many) lives for 500 years then builds a nest, lays a single egg and sets itself aflame. The heat from the fire incubates the egg and from it arrises the next generation.
There is just no getting rid of us

Colin, what have you gotten me into over there? I think I just posted that I was a bigot and proud of it. I don't think I'm supposed to do that...

fenix, dont even talk to me - I cant stand you! LOL ~~~Kidding. How could you root for the stealers being a home town girl?? You zapped the broncos doing that, you know!! Seriously tho, I think the whole of football fans has a stream going for Bettis. He was happy and that was good to see. Boy, that Jake Plummer is one cute-looken dude underneath all that hair! ugh. And I was impressed with with his quick feet. (Imagine he could really dance a move somewhere.) He looks kind of young tho as qb's go. But I am sure he will still get his chance somewhere down the road. I heard some j/a announcer saying he likes to stay under the radar, blah blah blah. Sometimes the announcers are the most annoying part of the game. And what was up with Terry Bradshaw asking the Seahawks about their email? What did that have to do with anything??? I dont like people makenmy sh* stupid. I paid alot for it. (I told you I woke up with an orange aura and couldnt for the life of me, place it?) I think Marino called it right. And I wont call him Dan b/c we have never been that intimate. Had a thing for Chris's at one time, but that was long long ago. Now I'm busy dodging grey doubles that follow me around daily.
smile fenix, youre not the only one with a dis/ability are you?
posted on January 23, 2006 06:12:53 AM new
Me? Dis-ability? Why I do believe I resemble that remark
I have not been a true Bronco fan since the days of Tom Jackson and Randy Gradishar (sp)and the Orange Crush. John Elway was just too.... um... superior... no... upppity... ? I don't know - I just could really never like the guy. Maybe it was that he (John) and his wife Janet pumped out kids like they were puppies and named every damn one of them J.... It was just too cutsie for me. (of course he dumped her and the kids for a stripper after he retired and became a used car salesaman well.. dealership owner but the other sounds better )
I do like Jake but that's because he's a down in the dirt kind of player and has a penchant for sticking his foot in this mouth. He's got a streak of snide in him which is why he likes operating under the sports press radar - he get in trouble too often when he talks to them

Doc,
Been there, done that. You have to be truthful. I throw in a couple outrages half truths in from time to time to see if anyone will notice. They seldom do.
Your points are valid ones and some posters seem to actually understanding what you've stated.
It's a great learning tool for debate or teaching.
Like I said its like being the only sane person in a mental institution or like teaching quantum physics to a 5th grade class. Many of them lack the skills to debate so they goggle till they find something that looks like it may apply. Ive had a couple actually cut and paste articles that bolstered my opinion, unknowingly
Have patience, they hate tenacity.
If I should hit the lottery,
Ill offer all these people a trip to another planet with free medical care, free housing, free food and is run by a liberal minority of multi-colored, atheist.
I have a feeling many would accept. Some would claim theyd been there before.

I wish I ws home. I am the house of strangers (remind me to describe this place sometime - it's...interesting) for the day. They get back in town tomorrow and I go back to the hotel unless the power meter magically gets placed today. I this is my last "slow day" (meaning the frenzy begins at 10 rather than 7). Tomorrow the truck arrives. We can unload it - we can place boxes, we just cannot unpack until the power meter is placed (no certificate of occupancy without power and no unpacking without CO).

fenix, i never kept up with all the stuff about most sports players. But that Elway looks like the kinda guy you want to just smack. I like to watch the hbo show where they profile the ones who do stuff outside the sports and have interesting backgrounds, but I never heard much about him.:;shrug:: I only was a fan of the ones from my state in passing by way of whatever boyfriend I had. But all of that is the last thing on my mind today. How come so many problems with the house? Didnt your parents consult YOU before they did all this? Obviously NOT. hahahha! Sorry dont mean to laugh. I got my own sh* going on here too. I am back in a friggin holding place like a sky looming to storm. Figure I might as well enjoy it because it seems I am spinning my wheels trying to do otherwise. (I believe someone told me mercury is retrograde these days)

What are you talking about, kraft?
I think if anything I just watch the football games because it reminds me of my brother and I can sorta get a feeling of him being back around if I have it on.
oh you mean my own sh* going on here? yeah, kraft I am going to spill it all out for you -- go get your notepad! And then Maggie will be nagging me about it six months from now and I will totally past it. Its just every day stuff.

The problem with the house is that my step knows "everything" and the builder is an idiot. The power meter is the biggest thing right now. It's not done because my step figured it just works the way it does in Colorado (the builder deals) and the builder is an idiot who never informed anyone that he's not allowed to deal, that is an owner thing. He also did things like forget to order half the countertops (want to know why silostone(sp) costs so much? The damn things are poured in Italy and then sent here for final fabrication), not check measurements for things like.. oh say.. enough clearance between the back of the sink and the overhang from the "bar" countertop to allow the faucet to actually be turned on etc etc etc. My mother listens to me and on the things she asked for input on, so far everything works as well in reality as it did in concept. My step would never ask me for input on anything. He listens to no one and must control all. When I pointed out today that one of the painters had touched up a semigloss painted room with flat paint he brushed it off like I was the idiot and then corrected the painter after I left.
Had a little fun at his expense the other night though. He is the most controling passanger I have ever encountered. Tells you what lane to be in, when to change lanes, how soon to signal and on and on so I let him call the shots for about 30 minutes while secretly wondering if it were possible to lobotomize someone with a gear shift. After about 30 minutes of this he asked where the hell the place was. I told him it was back, two blocks from the house, half a block down on the right of the intersection that he insisted I get over into the left turn lane early for... but the way he was ordering me around I just figured he must have known a short cut.
