Congratulations Brig, and good luck to you.
I just came found out, that buyers must be verified to use this service, and therefore withdraw my contention that competitors will wreak "that much" havoc on innocent sellers.

WELL all I hope is BUY PRICE works on eBay - I have a Wal-Mart attitude, I'd rather sell 10 in a couple of days at a reasonable price, than wait a week to sell a couple. I have no patience with these endless auctions and I don't think most buyers do either - life is too busy to try to keep up with one auction for a week -
I've used 1st BID WINS on Yahoo for a long time and LOVE it - yes I have been able to take the same item to eBay and often sell it for 2 or 3 times the price, but it takes a week - rather post, sell, and move on to something else....
In a year on Yahoo I have not had any problem with this style of auction, that is with competitors -
Just my opinion.....
BUT I do agree in many cases this will stop the wild selling prices on eBay, but I have seen those coming down for a couple of years now.

BUT, the buyer having to be verified - that may cause some problems for those buyers who would otherwise use the BUY NOW service - we will see. I just posted two items which have always sold well on eBay - we will see what they do under the BUY NOW price structure....they both open at the Buy Now price...
