Well, I made it through our snowy day in Buffalo without any problems. Firewood in the fireplace with a lovely roaring fire going. Packages are shipped and did get some hastle free Christmas shopping done. I love our winters and our change of seasons....

ahhh!!! The warmth of that fire, the sweet smell of burning oak. The pleasant buzz from an old bottle of wine. George Winston's December playing in the background... Winters, let them come...

Had to share this. I live in Cleveland, Ohio and although we didn't get 24" of snow we got about a foot thanks to Lake Erie's snow machine. I let my customers know that I wouldn't be going to the post office today and they were all very understanding. One customer happened to be from the area (he is now is Georgia) and said he wishes they got he snow. SO DO I!!!

Brighid868- Thanks for the info...my shorts and t-shirts are packed...kind of sounds like you live in my idea of "heaven". My ultimate goal is to retire in Southern Cal near the ocean.
mzalez- I would probably faint if I had that kind of power bill...but then, you would probably faint with my mortgage
runaroundsue-I honestly don't think that I would survive in the weather outside of the window in Canada...I'm just a California girl, born and raised.
