Do you think Zacarias Moussaoui should get life in prison or get the death penalty?
I say Live and wait out his time in Prison, which I doubt would be to long anyway. Why should someone who believes that they should give their lives for their country be given the death penalty. That is what he wants as it will show everyone that he is a hero.

I say give the bastard the death penalty but let him languish in prison for four or five years in a tiny cell in solitary confinment, and cut off from the rest of the world, waiting his fatefull day. Then when that day arrives, burst into his cell waking him up, drag his fat ass out and down the hall to the death chamber and exterminate his sorry ass.
Before he dies and for the entire time that he awaits his fate he should be fed lots of pork and unsweetened lemon Koolaid and made to watch That Seventies Show and listen to disco and/or Rush Limbaugh on the radio.

I definitely think the "He'll be seen as a martyr" argument to be dangerous. That should not even be considered in his sentencing hearing.
Yes, he'll be a martyr to those who want to see him that way. He's already a hero to some radicals out there. Now it's time to make him an example for those who aren't so fanatical.
I absolutely agree with the prosecutor who said this level of evil is hard to comprehend as sane, but he is NOT mentally ill.
If they were ever going to put an electrocution on Pay-per-view this would be the one. Ratings would be so high you could probably pay for the war in ad sales 
I don't however, see what this has to do with Poland.

3) Put his head on a pole outside the Dept of Justice.
Otherwise, some liberal gone Muslim nut will just grab some granny or 8 yr-old and threaten to kill them until they release him.

That was going on before I started posting there, and I don't understand what it's all about, so I avoid those threads. Yes, I am careful what I say on TRS, since as you say, it's a little rough over there. They seem to have no compunction about tossing out personal information if you offend somebody.
But the boards are active, and sometimes a good discussion will come up. I still spend more time at OTWA and here, but overall my time is just getting more and more limited for all of them.

It all seems like it stems from long past arguments from a time when people from The Carwash as well as from Ross used to post here at the old Auctionwatch and yes they can both be dangerous places to post because of the wonted posting of personal information if you should happen to accidentally pisss someone off, which isn't too hard to do.
Ok, back on topic, sorry Libra63, for the short derailment.
If some nut was going to grab up a hostage who's life would be exchanged for Moussoui's then it seems like it would have already happened by now. I kind of get the feeling that Alquieda doesn't want him back because of his conection to the crazy shoe bomber Richard Reid. Him and Reid must have sat around watching episdodes of Married With Children to cook up that nutty scheme.

Give him the death penalty....but by languishing away on death row until he dies of natural causes. In solitary confinement, embroidering the star of David on fine linens, to be sold at a cost to cover his expenses. IMO, he said what he thought would get him the death penalty. Let his 10 virgins be his 10 fingers. Let him eat boiled potatoes in pork broth.
