Not that any of the 10-11 moderators/admin. here have noticed....but NOGURU has done NOTHING but insult libra and myself. I've NEVER posted on a board where moderators ATTACK the posters. I have pointed that out to noguru SEVERAL times. Didn't change his behavior. And I'm NOT talking about having different opinions....I'm talking about STARTING the crap himself. And I'm talking about CHEERING on the trolls that come here and start doing the same immediately upon arrival. like rosewater did. Talking about the out and out JABS and insults. But many of you appear to not have noticed that. OR it's just okay with you.

Just so everyone will know what Linda is talking about.
There were a couple of threads on Rev's boards, one on ProBoard and one on his new private board about old people, medicare/medicaid and the uninsured and universal health coverage provided by the government.
What I said was that I did not think that tax dollars should be used to EXTEND THE LIFE OF OLD PEOPLE WHO WERE PERMANENTLY INCAPACITATED IN BED, WITH LIFE SUPPORT MACHINES, TUBES, ETC and those who were terminally ill. That I believed in death with dignity for everyone, that death was inevitable and that we were all going to die, whether we wanted to or not.
I also said that it was horrendous that HUGE AMOUNTS of tax dollars are spend on old people's health care and extending their life beyond the normal span while young people with their entire life ahead of them are DENIED MEDICAL TREATMENT because they are uninsured and cannot pay for it out of pocket. I stand by that as well.

''To the Honest People of Baghdad,'' one pamphlet read, ''we want you to leave the schools, hospitals, institutes, colleges and universities until the illegal government of (Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri) Maliki is put down. We want your full cooperation on this.''
No credible current national school attendance statistics exist in Iraq, whose education system was once considered a model in the Arab world. But examples abound of schools being closed or left mostly empty as parents flee the country or keep their children home.
Suaad Ahmed, 35, a resident of the capital's Mansour district, ran to her son's school when she heard gunfire thundering near her house. She arrived to see rival groups of gunmen firing through the schoolyard and children screaming.
''They used the garden as a battleground,'' Ahmed said. ''They were hiding behind trees for protection and shooting.''
Her kindergartner and the other children were safe - this time. But the school was closed for weeks afterward.
