About the elder Bush? Hmm, have you forgotten Iran Contra?
Someone once characterized his choice of Dan Quayle for VP "assassination insurance," and whoever said it was on the right track, but off by a hair IMO. Quayle was chosen as impeachment insurance. Think about it. (Oh yeah, he also thrilled the Religious Right.)
I also wonder how anyone who headed up the CIA could be called "a good and decent man," but perhaps that's just my personal bias.
