I've never considered myself a conspiracy buff, but I think it's interesting that Florida - where George Bush's brother is governor - first 'goes' for Gore, then 'develops computer problems'. All the other states managed to count their votes just fine (as far as I know).
I'm a systems analyst - whenever *anything* goes wrong, the 'computer' is always blamed.

I'm in the FL Panhandle, and as I posted on EBO, there were local news stories about vote count problems BEFORE the polls even closed.
I think part of the problem in the projections was that the networks forgot that FL has two time zones. The Panhandle is on Central time so couldn't have been included in the 7PM EST projection - and it's overwhelmingly Republican.
As far as the rest of the country's concerned, the Panhandle doesn't really exist (which most of the time is fine by us). Kinda like New Mexico....is that really part of the US?
At last report it's down to 1600 votes. So much for the individual's vote not counting....

What I found so funny was that the networks were able to predict other states just fine. They were even able to predict my state of Michigan minutes after the polls closed and with voters still in line no less. Oops, they goofed on 'ol Jeb's state.

Hate to burst your conspiracy bubbles, but Florida law MANDATES a recount whenever the difference in % is less than one-half of one percent.
